Hi, my name is Rachel. I am currently working during term time as a Mental Health Practitioner after completing my diploma in Counselling Children in Schools. I am an experienced nanny and tutor who loves meeting new children and their families. I love establishing relationships with children and facilitating learning through play! I am enthusiastic, positive and caring and will learn as much about your family as possible to tailor what I can do.

My Experience
Mental Health Practitioner: since September I have been working in Schools delivering psychoeducational sessions to primary-aged children about how to express and manage their emotions. This helps to guide my practice when working individually with children, helping me to challenge them to reach their greatest potential.
Family Support Worker: I worked at Shooting Star Children's Hospices for 18 months as a Family Support Worker.
Supply/Primary Teacher: I worked for 2 years in Early Years within the school classroom as full-time class teacher. After this, I moved into Supply teaching across the primary years. Through this, I have supported children with learning differences and am confident in my ability to provide appropriate activities and care for all children. I have also been a private tutor for children in Early Years, KS1 and KS2.
Nanny: I have built strong, positive relationships with my charges when working as a nanny. children. I helped homeschool during lockdown and always loved planning our time together. I worked long-term and am still in touch with the children I cared for.

Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Children in Schools

Flexible and available over the school holidays in particular and available for tutoring after school in the Wandsworth or Kingston areas.
