I live in the Heworth area of Gateshead, close to the local bus and metro interchange, and not far from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. I live with my husband Mark to whom I have been married for over 15years and who works along side me as my assistant. We have 2 children and we also have 2 friendly cats and a labrador puppy. We have a large, secure, rear garden this has a purpose built log cabin which we use as an extra play space. We have outdoor equipment and toys to suit a range of age groups, including a wooden playhouse, large trampoline, water and sand trays, swing and the opportunity to plant in our special growing garden,as well as indoor activity areas catering for different experiences such as arts and crafts, small world play, construction, malleable play, through to computer consoles.
Our service will include but are not limited to, outings to local children's groups, farms, museums, castles, parks, local beaches and woods. Which will give the children the opportunity to explore and expand their own knowledge and interests, something which they can build upon when they return. All of which will be relevant to the EYFS 7 areas of learning.The activities provided with be both child-led this is where the child chooses an activity and adult-led which is planned by myself to enhance and expand their interest. Activities will be based both indoor and outdoor to provide a wider experience of their world.
We have a nine seater minibus which is named the bearbus and we have the appropriate car seat for different aged children. This is used for outings school drop offs & pick ups.
For older children there are opportunities to complete homework, play board & computer games, read

My Experience
I am a fully qualified Nursery Nurse and have been working continuously within one primary school for over 15 years. Within this time I have worked within every year group, from nursery through to year 6. I have worked both alongside other members of staff and also independently, leading a nurture group which focussed on children with learning and behavioural difficulties. I also have experience of working with children who have had autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and most recently a child with down syndrome.
I have been trained and am up to date with the current methods of delivering phonics and the new statutory frame work of EYFS.
I have been based in the nursery for the last 2 years and have delivered the EYFS curriculum due that time.
My Qualifications
My qualifications are
City and Guilds NVQ in Early Years Care and Education Level 3
Special Educational Needs Assistant (SENA)
Higher Level Teaching Assistant status (HLTA)
Gateshead Council Childminding course - (include EYFS training)
2 day paediatric first Aid Training
High scope for childminders
safeguarding and child protection

Monday - Friday 7.00am - 6.00pm

I have been using Dellybears since January and my two daughters love going, even asking to go when its not the set day to go. Adele caters to all the girls needs and always involves them in planning stuff for the following weeks. My youngest daughter was quite a shy girl, but even family members have said that since going to Dellybears she has really opened up in herself. Overall she is fantastic childminder, so pleased I got in touch with her and that the girls enjoy going

My husband and I were faced with a difficult decision when I was ready to return to work after the birth of William who is now almost 2, who was going to help bring up our baby when we were working?
We made the choice of a childminder as we thought this would be more like our life at home, rather than a nursery.
Dellybears was one of many childminders we looked at but because of Adele's flexibility to fit in with my husband's then shift pattern we chose to meet with Adele. On our first meeting we were immediately made to feel welcome and felt at ease very quickly.
The facilities and learning opportunities are second to none, William especially loves the garden and being outdoors. He regularly goes on outings and loves the local toddlers group and playground.
William has developed very quickly over the 8 months her has been with Dellybears.
If you are look for friendly, family orientated and affordable childcare then look no further than Dellybears!!!!!
