About Me
I am 42 years old and have worked with children all of my working life. I have three children aged 22, 16, and 7 I am a very active childminder and belive that children can benifit alot from being outside in the fresh air. We spent time with another childminder to enable the children to take part in and socialise with other children and build confidence with them. .
I do have two dogs, these have been brought up with my children and do not have contact with the children and have a seperate area of the house and garden.
We have an ‘education time’ where we have a story, practice counting and learn the days of the week. The children take part in daily activities such as arts and crafts, including painting and gluing. We learn the Jolly Phonics, meaning that children are given a helping hand with an insight before starting school. We spend alot of time singing and dancing and action songs.
My Experience
I have always enjoyed working with children, and coming from a family of five,I always took an active roll in 'babysitting'! I began working in Day nursery's with age ranging 6 weeks - 4 years, a special care baby unit and working for the Early Years Service in Germany, where I shadowed Ofsted's role in Regulating and Inspecting the childcare settings. I decided to childmind on returning to England to be able to continue to care for my young family and do a job that I love. I have been childminding for two years in November, and my last inspection with Ofsted graded me with 'Outstanding' in all areas and I have recently become a 'Network' childminder.
In 2010 we moved back to Germany where I have been managing a day nursery taking 57 children aged 6 mths-3 years. Referances available apon request. I have also completed a Level 4 qualification and updated my First AID training.
I have just completed a Level 3 qualification in Special Needs and a Level 2 Cert in Understanding Autism. I am continually updating my development, ensuring that I can provide the most up to date legislation and good quality childcare.
All my children have a daily book and a Learning Journey outlining there developmental areas and next steps of learning.

I am an accredited childminder and can provide Pre-School Education and draw down funding from the government for both two and three year olds.
My Qualifications
I am Qualified with a Btec National Diploma in Nursery Nursing, have an up to date First Aid qualifaction. I have completed a Child Protection course and a basic Food Hygeine course. I am constantly attending short day courses, ensuring that I am kept up to date with any new legaslation.
I have completed a Level 4 qualification in Childcare and hope to continue with further education.. I have completed a Level 3 in Special Needs and a Level 2 Cert in Autism.
My Availability
I am available to begin childminding as soon as required and have full time vacancies. I am willing to start as early as 07.30 - 18.00 .Monday-Friday. Hours can be discussed.
I do not provide meals, but do provide snacks and drinks.
All outings and extras are included in the hourly rate.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
My fees are 4.20 per hour.
I am able to accept the government funded 15/30 hours and also the 2 year old funded hours.
We each have 31 days leave per year charged at a reduced rate.
