My Experience

I have been registered with OFSTED as a Registered childminder in Rushden for 20 year, since 2002.

I have pet cats and a small dog.

I moved to Rushden in 1997. Prior to that, I lived near Towcester and worked part time in a garden nursery for 7 years. And part time running my own cleaning, painting and decorating service. 9 years running a successful Avon Lady business.

I also helped out at the local play school that my girls attended when they were small; and as a parent helper when they went on to Blakesley infant school.

I have also helped out at Hayway School in Rushden.

I really enjoy my job and love to watch the children I care for, grow, and develop.



I have over 38 years experience with looking after children.
My curriculum aim is to get every child I care for independent & school ready
My teaching style is holistic and natural, following aspects of nature & our environment with Hygge & a curiosity approach with invitations to play at the setting or taking equipment out into the natural world on our exploring adventures, also knowing your child and identifying the way they learn through play, to enable me to create a rich learning environment.

I keep up to date with the current education guideline. I work closely with my families to help support them with the nurturing of their child.

My Qualifications

I have an NVQ 3 in Childcare & Learning Development.

I am an accredited childminder, I am a member of PACEY.

I have first aid training which is renewed every 3 years.

I attend lots of regular training, online training and county cluster meetings.

I offer private parental contracts, payments in advance.
I offer Subsidised Government Funded Nursery Education placements for children starting the term after they are 3.
I offer government funded education for 2 year olds and from 9 months old.

I make regular assessments of my practice & good role modelling.

My car & home are fully insured.

My Availability

I offer childcare from birth upwards.

I am available monday - friday, I am flexible with times/days.

I can offer emergency care & work with social services.

I can offer a local out reach/pick up service assistance to housebound parents, medically unable to get their children to a nursery or cannot drive. (there may be a small charge depending on distance)

I can offer childminding placements which can progress to the goverenment funding.

I can offer funding placements only; contact me for vacancies.

I like to work closely with families to help them bring up their children in a way that suits them. Including family and parental support.



I can offer holiday care only - but I am not open all school holidays due to my own personal time off. I can also cover another chilminders holiday. Contact me for availability.

HOLIDAY VACANCIES FOR SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN 5 - 11- I only charge you for what you book, can be very flexible as know some parents like to take a break during the holidays. Payment for ad hoc days is required to secure your place when booking.

September 2025- I have some slots for the Higham Ferrers Infant and Junior school depending on the days.

My Fees

• Childminding from £5.50 per hour

CHILDMINDING - rates will be based on hourly use 8am to 6pm, there will be extra charges for unsociable hours before 8am and after 6pm and any bank holiday/weekend work.


Under 5's. £5.50

Subsidies nursery consumables/snacks/travel & outings - £5 per session/day.

School age term time only is £6.00 hour - no holiday usage or retainers.

School age all year £5.50

School age additional daily charges of £2.50 towards consumables - snacks, craft equipment & space in the car during wet/cold weather (petrol contribution)

School age holidays only (Year 1 upwards NOT RECEPTION) covering shool hours, 8.30am till 5.30pm daily rate - £40

UNDER 5'S CHILDMINDING FEES INCLUDE ALL SNACKS, TRAVEL AND OUTINGS (a minimum of 2 days a week)







GOVERNMENT SUBSIDISED CARE - government funded placements are covered by local education grants, the are not transferable or changeable once times and hours have been agreed.
