My Experience

I have been working as an Ofsted Registered Childminder since 1998, so have a lot of experience with children, from babies to toddlers and beyond. Most of my work has come through recommendations over these past years, and a lot of the children have been with me from babies, right through to starting secondary school. They still come back to visit me and have a chat!!!I try to be very flexible, as I realise that entrusting your child to someone else's care while you work can be very hard, and not always easy to juggle.

My Qualifications

Although I hold no formal qualifications in childcare, I pride myself on the fact that in twenty six years I have nearly always been full. The children who come to me, usually through recommendation, tend to stay for a long time, and remain friends with myself and my family beyond that. I want to make your child feel like this is a second home, where they can feel safe and also have fun. I have an up to date Paediatric First Aid certificate, and have a fully insured car for outings to playgroups/parks etc. My last Ofsted inspection resulted in a "Good". I'm rated 5 Star in Food and Hygiene, and provide fully nutritional meals throughout the day - should you wish.

My Availability

My local primary school is Bonneygrove, and I can offer before and after school care from here. Although I currently don't work on a Friday - I have a very good friend who is also a childminder - with whom we offer a "job share" facility. Our minded children socialise together - and all children are familiar with the other minders' houses - thus providing a familiar environment to cover holidays and sickness etc. She is within a five minute walk from my house.

My Fees

• Childminding from £7.00 per hour

I currently charge £7 per hour for full-time childcare (this would normally be 8 hours or more per day - and 3 to 4 days per week). Part time rate would depend on hours covered - but would be around £6.50-£7.

I don't charge for breakfast, but charge £2.00 for lunch, and £3 for evening meal, which is always a hot meal and desert. All snacks and drinks throughout the day are included.
