We can’t thank Sophie enough for the time our son spent with Sophie. We only left due to needing full time - and it was an extremely hard decision. I had never used a childminder before, and I came out of it with such a positive and wonderful experience. We had updates every day, a beautiful book of daily updates, the children went on great activities (airports, gardens, farms, etc) and they did activities with other children/childminders from the area. Our family adored Sophie, especially my son, who was excited to go everyday. Sophie and her family are nurturing, wonderful people and I couldn’t recommend them enough. Thank you!!

Sophie is the most amazing childminder! She goes above and beyond in every single thing she does for the children in her care. Our daughter was with her for over a year and during that time absolutely blossomed. As a parent, it is such a difficult decision of where to send your child but I can say that sending your child to Sophie makes that decision so easy. It was the greatest comfort to know that our daughter was receiving the best possible care and experiences each day.
One of the highlights of my day was getting photos from Sophie of what they had been up to. Sophie always plans new, fun, enriching, engaging and exciting activities and outings based on the children's interests/theme/season. The variety of experiences that my daughter had while there (too many to name!) were so impressive- and inspired us to do lots at home! Sophie also made a book for each child with a very detailed narrative of what they had been up to as well as printed photographs. I loved sharing this book with my daughter and chatting about all of the things she had done and learned in the day.
Sophie is so incredibly thoughtful, kind and caring. Our daughter has always been quite cautious and had several fears that Sophie supported her with and helped her conquer. She created an environment where my daughter felt happy, safe, comfortable and was excited to go to each and every day. She also has such a lovely family who embraced our daughter and made her feel part of the family.
We are so grateful to Sophie for everything that she has done for our daughter. We were so lucky to have her as our childminder and highly recommend her!

When we first visited Sophie’s setting, we were so impressed with everything to do with her set up, from the food menus to the daily structure, to the child safeguarding procedures and so much more. It was a no brainier to send our daughter to her at 20 months old.
What we hadn’t expected was the wider amazing family environment she would become part of, the learning and development she would do and the pure happiness she would get every day from attending Sophie’s house.
Sophie includes a themes to her weeks teaching the children in her care about various different holidays and events of the world. Our daughter was always coming home having learned a new craft skill or a different song each week.
The various adventures and experiences Sophie would take our daughter to, be it fruit picking, forest exploring, playgrounds, farms, soft plays - you name it, our daughter loved and learned every day.
Having a daughter with severe allergies is also a concern of ours abs where we sent her to, but we soon realised it need not be as Sophie would adapt her menu (always freshly cooked meals) to suit, and even adapt some activities like baking where required that we never had to think twice.
Each day we received a detailed dairy update plus numerous photos and always knew what was going on. From talking with others childcare experiences, we know we got very lucky finding Sophie and her wonderful family.
A highly recommended childminder right here!

Sophie has looked after our little boy for the last year from when he was 11 months old - she is absolutely amazing and we have been so impressed since day 1.
Her setting is lovely, she cooks delicious meals & importantly she provides a range of activities tailored to each child’s need. They go out on lots of day trips, do painting, baking (she makes yummy biscuits with the kids!), arts and crafts, reading, nursery rhymes, play doh, water play, lots of outdoors play in her fabulous garden - the list could go on...! She also has themes and tries to tie in activities to that day or week’s theme ie, Halloween, under water, Christmas etc. Sophie’s family are also really lovely and our little boy has always been made to feel a part of the family.
Our little boy has developed SO much in the time he has spent with her & Sophie takes real pride in helping her children in her setting grow & learn. She is also highly creative, caring & pays a lot of attention to detail - each day we would have a detailed diary going over everything that has happened that day (as well as lots of lovely pictures!).
If Sophie has space, I would recommend to anyone to jump at the chance to join her setting. You won’t be disappointed and your child will be in extremely capable hands. Thank you Sophie for everything!

Sophie took care of our daughter for nearly 2 years and during that time, our daughter blossomed from a baby who could barely crawl to a kind, caring, joyful toddler. Sophie's home setting was always welcoming and her own children were a huge part of that. Sophie has a small network of other childminders so there was always other children to play with as well as her own, making it a very busy and social household. Sophie would take our daughter out on the most wonderful day trips that are too numerous to mention, but for example a trip to the 'pumpkin patch' at Halloween time and strawberry picking in the summer and even a lavender field. There was always fun to be had. And joy for us as parents too, as around lunchtime, Sophie would send us photos of the day so far- this was my second favourite part of the day. My favourite part of the day would be getting home after pick up with my daughter and reading all about what she'd been up to. Sophie documented with photos and diary entries, our daughter's time and it was just magical to have that at the end of each day and now, as a wonderful momento of our time with Sophie. I absolutely recommend Sophie as a Childminder and I strongly advise you get 'in there' quick.
ps. One of the many activities Sophie does with the kids is baking... yes, you even get cookies.

Sophie has looked after my daughter on numerous occasions between the ages of 1 and 2 years old. Leaving your child with someone else is such a massive decision and not something you ever take lightly. Having read Nancy's comments above, I wholeheartedly agree. My husband and I had absolute trust and confidence in Sophie. Georgia settled quickly with Sophie, loved her time with her and playing with her children. Sophie's setting is a home from home (and very convenient for Motspur Park station) with plenty of outside space and lots of toys and games. Being part of a childminder network meant Georgia had plenty of interaction with other children of different ages, which I think at her age has set her in much better stead than a nursery environment. Her development has also been supported with the wide variety of activities that Sophie organised, with particular strengths in arts and crafts which Georgia really enjoyed.
Sophie was always very organised, great at communications and at pick ups, always gave us a thorough rundown of the day. As well as pictures throughout the day, we also really appreciated Sophie's detailed diary notes on what activities Georgia had been up to during the day including everything from new words, play and giggles to food and sleep. Especially as a working mum, its really appreciated to read about the little details of their day. I would recommend Sophie as a childminder without reservation.

Sophie and family are wonderful. Finding Sophie was a happy accident as we were new to the area.
My daughter Nancy loved her time with Sophie and we felt very happy Nancy was with such a caring, warm childminder. Everyday was special and the activities were wonderful, from days out in Richmond park to a whole calendar of events from world book day to celebrating seasons. Even in the winter Sophie would wrap Nancy up snug and go for walks and play outdoors, this was very important to us. The activities they did at home were great from baking to arts & crafts. Everyday I would pick Nancy up with something she had made. Social skills, speech, manners were all encouraged and Nancy's development came on leaps and bounds. Everyday Sophie would send photos and she kept a very detailed diary of Nancy's day. Food was healthy and not processed-a food diary was kept. Sophie lives next-door to a childminder and the children would play together, this was so special as the children formed very solid friendships. A group of childminders Sophie knew would spend the day together and go on outings. Just wonderful and created a real community feel. Sophie is also a trained midwife and is very good when it comes to responding to child's health, if they are feeling under the weather. Nancy became incredibly close to Sophie's little girl and boy and they still see each other today. We were very sad to say goodbye we started the relationship being childminder and mummy but left as friends. I cannot recommend Sophie enough, the quality of childcare is first class and you will be hard pushed to find anyone better. I wish Sophie all the best.
