Wonderful

My daughter (4) has been with Linda for just under a year having left the previous childminder she has know since 8 months old.
She settled in well, always talks about her day with Linda and bonded well with the other children. Linda has provided great support and I have peace of mind when at work.
Linda is easy to talk to, flexible and friendly.
I would highly recommend Linda.

Head Teacher says - 'highly recommend!'

Linda has had my daughter from 5 years old then my two sons both from when I returned to work when they each turned 6 months. She has been a big part of their lives and now 11 years on I couldn't be without her!

As a Headteacher, Education and care is the forefront of what I do, so obviously I want the very best for my three children and know what areas to look for and the type of person who is able to do this job with efficiency, care and success - this is Linda.

The children have loved the activities she provides and especially enjoy the garden!

When we need emergency cover, due to sudden meetings or have been caught up at work, she is always totally flexible and helps us work round these problems whenever she can.

Next year will be my youngest son's final year with Linda and we will be sorry to say goodbye!

Not good

Asked for a massive deposit and then let me down right at the last minute via a text message! Would NOT recommend this woman.

Dear Nicola,

I am very sorry that you feel that I have let you down, but for transparency sake, please allow me to clarify a few points. The retention of a deposit is a standard practice I apply with all the parents of children under my care. This deposit is then refunded at the end of the service contract. Unfortunately, we did not even get to sign a written contract, nor did we settle the deposit, because the days of service you requested changed drastically from what was originally discussed. The regretful outcome is that I could not provide childcare for the two and half hours weekly that you finally requested. I trust this clarifies matters.

Brilliant childminder

I'm a single mother of a 4 year old boy.
I met Linda when my son was 18 months, and from the day I requested her services she was very helpful.
She is everything I hoped I'd find in a childminder when I needed childcare for my child. She put me and my child at ease immediately. My son loves going to her house, which by the way is a very spacious, clean, non-smoking, safe environment and as a plus has a big garden. She creates a fun and educational environment and is attentive to development opportunities and logs these, so I never feel I miss out on important milestones. Linda is extremely kind, patient person and fantastic childminder. I am very glad I found her!

Highly recommended

My 21mth old little boy loves going to Linda's and has developed more confidence and skills since spending time in her care. Going back to work after maternity leave was not easy but knowing he was happy and safe made such a difference! I'm very grateful to Linda for helping us arrange his care quite last minute and I would strongly recommend anyone looking for a childminder to meet with Linda.

I would like to recommend Linda, she provided care and support for my son over the last 4.5 years, my son always looked forward to his time under her care, providing much needed support with his reading and writing. He will miss you. Once again thank you for everything.
