My Summary
About Me
* Awarded outstanding in all areas by OFSTED in June 2019*
My name is Hayley I have over 19 years experience working with children and families.
I really enjoy caring for children and find helping them achieve and experience new things interesting and fun. Being a Childminder allows me to mix a structured learning environment in a secure, loving, fun and comfortable home and provide opportunities to learn through experiences and play.
I provide children with educational play experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage and encourage parents/carers to feel welcome, supported and included in their child’s welfare.
My Experience
I have been fortunate to have had a long career caring for and teaching children in various settings. I worked for 12 years as a Nanny working with various families looking after children aged 0-8 years old. I have been very lucky to have been part of these children’s lives and have lots of experience working in partnership with parents.
As a Nanny I was responsible for every aspect of the child’s day including planning activities, cooking healthy meals and school runs. During this time I made some special bonds with families that I will always treasure and continue to be part of their lives as they become adults!
I also worked in a nursery for 2 years, where I improved my knowledge of educating children, following guidelines and caring for children on a larger scale. I found this role very interesting and gave me some invaluable skills to carry on my career.
By gaining extra training in First Aid, Childminding Introduction Program, Every Child a Talker and Safe Guarding Children I have been able to improve my skills.
Little Ones @ Home has allowed me to incorporate my experience as a nanny with added experience in a nursery environment to provide a safe, fun and educational setting.
Specific experiences:
* Cared for a diabetic child, involved administering insulin, blood tests and being responsible for dietary requirements.
* Twin experience
* Down Syndrome experience
My Qualifications
I have a qualification in Childcare and Education (Level 3) and in Play Work (level 2)
By gaining extra training in First Aid, Childminding Introduction Program, Every Child a Talker and Safe Guarding Children I have been able to improve my skills.
Continuing professional development is something I enjoy and am interested in being more knowledgeable about new legislation and training. Currently taking part in a course to promote healthy eating for children, something I am passionate about.

Hayley has cared for my two children for the past two years and we can only praise the care she gives.
The setting is great -there is lots of learning as well as play. Lots of days out whether it be to the library, Ashdown forest, tilgate park etc.
My husband and I work shifts and Hayley has been very flexible where she can be. Alot of other childminders wouldn’t cater for this...
My two have thrived in this setting.
We will definitely keep using little ones @home once Hayley returns from maternity leave. 😀
Our daughter, now 2 years old, has been cared for by Hayley since she was 6 months old. From day 1 Hayley has ensured that she is happy and comfortable, and has made sure the setting really is like a home from home. We were very anxious about leaving our little one so young, and because she was small for her age she also had additional dietary requirements. We needn’t have worried: Hayley made the whole thing a breeze and our daughter settled in immediately, with Hayley tailor-making special meals for her, and giving us honest and detailed feedback so we knew exactly how each day had gone. We know that when our daughter is with Hayley she is happy and safe.
It is clear that Hayley genuinely cares for the children she looks after. Hayley has taken the time to get to know our daughter extremely well, and plans activities to include lots of her favourite things as well as introducing her to new experiences. They go on the most fantastic outings, from trips to Ashdown Forest to do the Winnie the Pooh trail to visits to the farm. They have a great balance of quiet creative play at home and being out and about socialising with other children.
We consider ourselves very lucky to have found someone as special as Hayley to look after our little one, and she has become a good family friend whom we hope will be a part of our daughter’s life for years to come. She puts her heart and soul into Little Ones @ Home and it really shows.
