My Summary
About Me
Full-time place from Sept 2024
Waiting list for Sept 2024/ January 2025 is available.
I have been a Dorking /Brockham based Childminder for 21 years and deal mainly with babies and 0-4yr.
I enjoy being a mum and very supportive to working families and become 2nd mum supporting the children from babies into school.
I am a small “home from home“ childcare provider with 2-4 max children a day.
I provide a happy loving home, where all the children get lots of individual attention and where their needs are met. They are encouraged to be free spirited, independent and can think for themselves when they are here ie: choosing their own toys ,taking their coats and shoes off, washing hands, making food choices for themselves helping to set activities up and learning to tidy away.
I provide fresh cooked meals every evening and use my skills of chef(15yrs) to encourage the children to eat a variety of foods , I also cater for children with allergies .
I am a Familyminder too. I am able to offer parents a lot of support while they hold down their jobs during this difficult time during covid and can tap into individual family needs accommodating shifts and difficult Rotas . I am also available for evening and weekend babysitting jobs . From £10hr x min 3 hrs required.
At home I have lots of lovely toys suitable for all ages, from sensory toys for the younger children, to craft work, messy play and imaginative play for the older children. I have a toy shed bursting with exciting toys of insects, dinosaurs, building equipment, dolls and babies, dressing up, which get rotated regularly. I have a wonderful selection of books for all ages , and encourage reading through pictures and words , in fact I’m a bit of a bookworm myself!!
I’m naturally musical and enjoy singing songs and dancing . I have a bag of puppets that I like to entertain the children with this brings on their speech and language skills . Additionally I follow the EYFS curriculum 0-5years old and weave Maths, Literacy, communication, social, physical and creative skills of development of learning through our day.
Outside I have a pretty garden, with a woodland camp area, lots of outside toys.
I like to go out daily, to the park or nature trails, to visit Boxhill and Polsden Lacey as well as surrounding play areas, as well as the local library and soft play.
In the summer we’ve visited Worthing Water play area and sand pit , Pond dipping at Abinger Stream and Rockpooling at Goring Beach to name a few.
The children benefit from the fresh air and out doors as well as some great walks locally in Brockham , with the River Mole directly behind us and poo Bridge . We are very fortunate to live in an area of outstanding natural beauty and like to make the most of it every day. I believe this is good for the Childrens physical and emotional well being and helps us keep in touch with nature. The physical development of being outside brings on speech and language skills fast, as all my children are talkers.
I have 2 cats which are child friendly. Hygiene and health and safety is my priority at home .
In 21 years of childminding Im still in touch with the older children who I looked after for 15 years-they came to me from little babies, they are now at high school and have turn into teenagers. "we still come for your yummy dinners" I'm told!
My own children are now grown up 22/23 and Live away from home and at Full time work, driving and doing their own thing. (My son is in Engineering R&D and is training to be Pilot and my daughter works in Motorsport )
This enables me to totally focus on my current childminding families and provide a flexible childcare service .
All my current parents are happy to give references and are very supportive to new children / parents settling in . We have a group community where the children experiences are shared and support and friendship is given . We coordinate nursery / pre school so they can be together during the school transition . Many of my childminded children remain friends once they go to school.
For Transparency
I am currently in dispute with Ofsted. After 12years Outstanding, at the last inspection: Two minors area of improvement required.
1 being the local Nursery in Brockham unfortunately is not willing to work with childminders!! -Which makes communication difficult.
2 Resettling the children after covid as we don’t normally have visitors to the house.
I can ensure you that this has not distracted me from my normally high standards of education and support I have provided to my families, who are all very happy with my service and willing to give excellent reviews if required.

I currently look after children in the Early years age group: babies from 8mths -4yrs .

Tracy has looked after both of my children since they were around six months old, my oldest is now five and my youngest is fifteen months. My husband and I are key workers and both work full time in busy operational roles and have been on various shift patterns over the five years that we have been with Tracy. She has always been extremely flexible and has given us the reassurance and support that we have needed to be able to go to work and give it 100% without being concerned about whether the children are happy and being looked after properly. I am so fortunate with Tracy that I can honestly say that have never had to experience one of the children being upset at me leaving them, I have in fact had my oldest on a few occasions being upset that he had to come home from Tracy's with me though!
To say that Tracy is part of the family is an understatement, she and her family have become a big part of our families life and I know that she loves and cares for my children as if they were her own. With no family members locally it means a lot to me that they have other people in their lives who care about them. I have always been happy with the amount of activities they have been involved in whether it be games at home or in the garden, play groups that Tracy runs or trips out to explore local parks etc. they are always guaranteed a fun day when they are with her. Tracy always ensures that I know what activities the children have been doing as well as simple things like what they have eaten and any naptimes etc. for my youngest son which I find really helpful to ensure that I am keeping things consistent when they are with me. There have also been numerous occasions where Tracy has either given me advice or we have worked together to help my children with their development which I have really appreciated.
When I first visited Tracy I recall being impressed by how well behaved and polite the children were and now I can see the same in my oldest which I feel is a credit to Tracy's care. Even the older children who no longer need 'childcare' still come back in the school holidays to help or to see the younger ones which is lovely to see.
Over the years Tracy has become not only a huge part of the children's lives but also a support for my husband and I and recognises when we are struggling or need a bit of a break! Little gestures like sending some food home for me with the children when I have worked a long shift have meant more than she will have realised. She has made the last five years as stress free as possible and will always be a part of their lives. I cannot recommend her enough.

Thank you for your lovely kind words . I feel very privileged to of had both your boys from tiny babies , and it’s been a true delight seeing them grow up . We’ve work very well over the years , working in partnership with great communication, flexibility and consideration to both our needs. I’m touched to hear that all my little extras are appreciated and so pleased that I can help and support you all as a family . You will be forever in my hearts and hope I remain part of your family as you move on with your new adventure.
Tracy has childminded my daughter Ava since 1 year old. She is now 5 and I think we will be with Tracy for many more years too. Tracy is no ordinary childminder, she extraordinarily, because she is.
- child focused: she’s tuned in to each and every child. When she updates me the end of the day she knows every detail, and not just a download of the day what to watch for, what to start thinking about doing soon, and where to keep consistency of message on things to ensure mummy and Tracy are saying/ developing the same things.
- Reliable: she has never not once missed a day.
- committed: Tracy is ‘all in’ with the families she takes on. I go as far as saying she’s a family minder too - identifying what each family needs and offering her services ie: when I was really sleep deprived she offering more hours or sharing educational books/materials relevant to each stage of development.
Flexible: there is no clock watching if Iam a few minutes late
Fresh Food: Ava has a hot cooked meal every day and her favourite is chicken curry which she asks for at home. And I know she adapts to all kinds of eating allergies/ needs.
Ava just loves going to Tracy’s house every and day and mummy has never needed to worry because I know she is safe, cared for and having fun!

Thank you so much for such lovely kind words. I truly love Ava and treat her like my own . She's fitted in as part of my family and it's been a joy to see her develope into the beautiful delightful girl that she is . She's a big personality and has trived on being part of a family with other children to play with and interact with . She's keen to take on responsible with the other little ones and treats them like brothers and sisters .
Thank you for appreciating my support and services - it's very tricky when your in a hectic demanding job , juggling the parent thing , I hope over the years I've taken the pressure off you all . Together we've got through some tricky times , supporting each other on this journey , and I feel very privileged and honoured to be part of it . T
I had had an awful experience with a childminder prior to Tracy and thought I wouldn't trust anyone again to look after my son. However as soon as my husband and I met Tracy and visited her home, I knew that she was the one who would be just right to look after him. Her home is warm and inviting and she has had some of the more grown up children she looks after now for several years which also put my mind at rest!
Both of my sons have attended Tracy's home/care and still do. The youngest one being there since 6 months old...although she met him when he was just 2 days old for a quick cuddle.
Tracy is fun and outgoing and likes to be out and about with the boys which is great as they don't get bored.
She has also guided us (as parents) through potty training and other milestones.
She likes to cook the boys fresh meals too with my older sons firm favourite being curry and rice!
Great all round care!
