About Me
I am an experienced and qualified childcare provider registered GOOD with OFSTED whom offers a warm, friendly and homely environment for children from birth to 5 years.
My aim is to provide children with experiences and opportunities which are challenging but achievable. Where nature and nurture work hand in hand so children can thrive and feel empowered in their life and their learning
My Experience
I am a BTEC qualified Nursery Nurse with Thirty five years experience of working with children across all ages.
I hold a Foundation Degree in Early Years and a Certificate in Education and have six years experience in tutoring Child Care Learning and Development and Health and Social Care in a popular High School, where I helped to set up a local parent and toddler group.
I have worked as a Nursery Manager for a Private Day Nursery in Keighley and provided cover supply to both Primary and Secondary Schools in the local area.

2002-2004 Keighley College Higher National Certificate in Early Childhood Studies
1993-1995 Keighley College BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing

My Availability

Tracy has looked after both my boys for the last 8 years. When I first made contact with Tracy, my elder son (with additional needs) was due to start in Reception class. Following an initial visit to the school it was apparent to me that the school’s before and after school clubs would not be appropriate for him when the time came for starting school. I found Tracy on here and sent her a panicked message explaining our circumstances and concerns. All summer she allowed us to visit her so that she quickly became part of my son’s group of trusted people. I needn’t have worried! Tracy has experience with Autism and ADHD and knew just how to handle my son sensitively but always remaining firm and calm too. The care that she and her family have shown is second to none and so she was a natural choice for us when our younger son started school. We could have gone down the before and after school options with him but I wanted to stay with Tracy. As he gets older I keep asking for him to stay on; he’s now approaching Y5 and my opinion hasn’t and won’t change. She is very flexible if I know I’m going to be late, she always has something exciting for him to tackle after a long day at school and she provides him with fabulous healthy snacks. Behaviour (including manners) are extremely important to both my husband and I - Tracy has high expectations and won’t stand for any nonsense! Highly recommend Cotton Socks to all families, living locally, who aren’t sure if before and after school clubs will be a good fit for their children.

My daughter has been with Cotton Socks since she was 8 months old in 2020. My son is due to start with them in Jan 2025.
What appealed to me the most on first glance about Cotton Socks was the fact it was situated in a family home. I wanted my daughter to feel like she was in a comfortable and loving environment. This is exactly what Cotton Socks provide. Our daughter loves and adores everyone in the Cotton Socks family.
I was astonished at the speed of my daughters development once she started. Each week she was coming home and showing me new things and eating new foods etc, my favourite has to be when she came home soeaking Spanish thabks to Andy.
Tracy and the Cotton Socks family made it very easy for us as a family to go through the milestones with young children, eating habits, learning, potty training etc. We're forever grateful for that.
The garden is a wonderful play area for the children with lots of fun and educational toys. My daughter is an outdoors girl so loves being in their garden.
Cotton Socks have always ensured the children have day trips out, having fun and learning along the way. My daughter always used to come home excited that she had been on "Andy's bus".
We always got a daily journal and when our daughter was leaving to go to school, we were presented with a beautiful journal showing her journey with the Cotton Socks family which we will cherish forever.
Our daughter still goes to Cotton Socks but on an after school pick up. She adores the family and loves going to play after school. They provide snacks and keep her safe and happy until she can be picked up by a parent.
We are very much looking forward to our son starting in January and wouldn't pick anyone else to have him.

My 4year old and 1year old twins have been with Tracy since December, and settled in amazingly. Tracy and family are extremely welcoming and are fantastic with the children. The boys are well looked after and love all the homecooked meals that are made for them. We very highly recommend cotton socks!

Tracy has been looking after my son since September and she is amazing. My little boy has really thrived since he began attending. Tracy provides a home from home setting with amazing home cooked meals and fun activities throughout the day. The outdoor space is wonderful with lots of fun and engaging activities to keep the little ones entertained. Tracy is so friendly and approachable, and I know my son is happy. Andy, Tracy's husband is amazing with the children, even teaching my son spanish! I would not hesitate to recommend cotton socks.

Cotton socks really is outstanding! Our son has been with Tracy since he was one and is 5 this year! Tracy is such an amazing support and has helped our son develop so much! Everything from the activities they do, day trips , arts and crafts , home cooked meals and just a lovely supportive home! Andy even helped our son learn some Spanish! Tracy has been a great help also with things like supporting us on potty training and removing dummies and was great for advice and guidance! Our son loves all the family at cotton socks and we would be lost without them!

My son has been attending cotton socks full time for the last 6months, since he was 9 months old. I really couldn't have picked anyone better to look after him. My son is settled and loves going.
My son gets taken on day trips, play group, walks and parks. He enjoys Tracy home cooked meals and has plenty of fruits too. The outside facilities are brillant. Plenty of garden space to play with slides, bikes, water stations. Tracy home is always clean and tidy each morning (I really don't know how she does)
Tracy is very well organised and I have a daily journal of what my son has been upto and eaten that day. I recently had my son's check up with the health visitor and Tracy give me by son's file to show his developments and at what stage he was at, my health visitor was astonished to how much detail my childminder has gone to. Tracy is on top of her game, a fantastic childminder and passionate about all the children in her care. It gives me great peace of mind whilst I am at work that my son is being well looked after. It's a family business with Olivia her daughter and Andy her husband helping out both are amazing with the children. When I leave my son each morning it's like leaving him with family.

Tracy currently looks after my two grandsons who are temporarily staying with me. The eldest grandson is 3 and has been going to Tracy’s since December 2018 (before he came to stay with me) and settled in brilliantly. When the boys came to stay with me I decided not to change childminders even though there are childminders closer to my home. But because my grandson was so settled and Tracy has worked so hard on helping his speech improve I wanted him to keep the special relationship they have. When the youngest grandson was 6 months old I needed to return to work and Tracy also now looks after them both and both love her to bits. It’s clear Tracy forms strong bonds with each child in her care. She’s been very flexible when I’ve needed to make changes to days and or hours and I personally can’t thank her enough.

Tracy looked after my son for a few hours when i worked in her area. She was very professional. My son especially liked her garden with lots of toys & educational activities to do. Thanks again Tracy!

After having to change my childminder after my son had been with her for 2 and a half years, I was pretty apprehensive and worried about him taking to anyone else and being settled and happy.
I needn't have worried as it has been a very easy transition. Tracy is very friendly, approachable and caring and my son has really taken to her, couldn't recommend her enough, he loves being there which means I can relax at work with no worries. I work shifts and Tracy has been very flexible when discussing hours, especially since we needed to change them due to him being offered a pre-school place, bottom line, we couldn't be happier with the care she provides.

Tracy is a brilliant childminder she looks after my granddaughter while I work she teaches the babys/kids so much my granddaughter is a bright 2 year old and I owe most of that to Tracy I would highly recommend her to anyone
