About Me
Current vacancies Hi, I am an Ofsted Registered Child minder and member of PACEY. I live with my husband, who is currently my assistant, our two lovely boys aged 17 and 16
Our home is situated on a quiet residential road with ample parking. It is homely, warm, and spacious with a very large private and secure garden.
We have a variety of toys/resources for in door and outdoor play/activities, which we rotate regularly to ensure children's needs and interests are met. We have a great understanding of the EYFS.
We provide home cooked nutritious foods that can be adapted to suit specialist diets. Our meat is supplied by a local butcher Tuppers of Isleworth. Fresh water and milk are available throughout the day. vegetarian options available
My Experience
I have undertaken Local Authority Child minder Training, Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid Training, Childcare and Early learning Level 3 as well as completing a SEN and Autism awareness diploma. Emotional and Behaviour Difficulties. Growth mindset. SEN higher advanced Level 5 SENCO level 3 Best Practice, EYPD September 2024 and Child Anxiety and Confidence.I have PACEY Public Liability Insurance. I have experience of our son needing speech therapy.
My previous experience is over 20 years working in residential care working from care assistant to Manager and more recently as a Compliance Officer.
Until our boys left primary schooI I was Parent Gov at my their school and was the longest standing member of the Governing body for 8 years.
My assistant who works alongside me has undertaken SEN and Autism awareness diploma Level 3 Occupational Health and Safety Pediatric First aid, Emotional and behavioral difficulties,Mental health and Young people and First aid at work.
My assistant worked for 35 years for Royal Mail until last year when he took VR. My assistant is retraining to become a trainer and is currently undertaking an AET level 3
My Qualifications
I have local authority child minder training, I have undertaken a Childcare and early year learning Level 3. Best practice Senco Level 3, Early years Professional Development Programme. I have an NVQ Level 4 in HSC as well as completing a SEN and Autism awareness diploma. Emotional and Behaviour Difficulties. Growth mindset. SEN higher advanced Level 5 and Child Anxiety and Confidence.

Penny and Roger are exceptional at taking care of the little ones. I had a lot of doubts and concerns while looking for the child minder for my son but they were the first and at the same time the last people we visited to check. Roger was my son's love at first sight and he still adores him a lot. My baby felt so comfortable over there and stopped crying after the first day i left him
there. Now he just runs to the door when we approach the location😊 Penny is still developing her still and qualifications to provide the best care they can. What is the most important they are warm nice people who really care about the children they care of. I am calm that my son is in good hands. He had eating and speech problems but has made a huge progress while in their care. I appreciate their support and flexibility as I was starting my work and needed to adjust to different scheduled. Great food and activity bags they give every week to prepare the kids for the reception are another point to highlight. They also take part in different local community events. I can recommend them as the best child minders you can have and i am so thankful i found them😊

Leaving our baby for the first time was a massive step for us, but Penny & Roger made the whole experience much easier. She was warm, welcoming, and passionate about childcare from our initial meeting. They were patient with our little one as she took some time to settle in, and once she did, she was completely comfortable in her care. Penny and Roger have taken very good care of our little girl. She now waits excitedly for the days when she can go to them. They were also very flexible with our schedule to meet our work requirements, which is great as most childminders do not allow this. We received regular updates and photos throughout the day, which was reassuring. It's clear that Penny & Roger provides a loving and nurturing environment, and we couldn't be happier to have found her. Due to work commitments, we had to move after 4 months, which was disappointing as our daughter was settled and we were comfortable with Penny & Roger. Overall, we would highly recommend Penny & Roger.

penny looked after my two children and was amazing making them feel like part of the family. My son is autistic and this wasn't a barrier as he was made to feel normal comfortable which put my mind at ease. I have no problems with using them as my children will be safe

I feel extremely lucky to have had penny and roger to look after two of my children who both have additional needs.They created a home from home environment for my children.From day one they made them feel at ease.They provide a range of stimulating activites throughout the day and always keep you informed with pictures and text of what the children are up to and what they are doing.my children where so happy there and they provide them with a healthy meal everyday. I couldnt of been happier having penny and roger looking after my two and knowing they where in safe hands.

My daughter who is currently studying in Year 2 in Wellington Primary School Hounslow has been going to Mrs. Penny's and Mr. Roger's childcare for the last two years. I have always felt that my daughter is very safe and happy there and I have never heard about any unpleasant experience from my daughter. In addition to the regular schedule, they have been very accommodating to help us for extra hours in case of emergencies. I highly recommend them as child minders.

I’ve known penny and roger over 13 years they are both great people with great morals and values
They are a fantastic duo!
They provide great childcare and very professional. Definitely recommend to others they go above and beyond with the childcare they provide .

I have known penny for over 10 years and can voucher for her conscientiousness both as a childminder and a member of the local community. Her warmth towards those in her care and desire to do a good job is faultless.
If my son were still of age I would happily engage penny and her assistant to care for him.

Penny and Roger is absolutely amazing in the work and time that they put into taking care of the kids my daughter absolutely loved it there she was so shy and wasn’t communicating a lot her eating habits was a no go .once she started with penny and Roger she was a different little person so full of life eating all of her food taking a lot more the different toys and activities that ther got for kids of different ages is a real benefit to them and helping them unto their journey to starting nursery nothing is ever to much trouble for penny and Roger the kids well being and safety comes first the home is very clean and well kept the food is very good and nutrition for the kids they all sit together to eat their food and always got clean fresh water and fruits to eat .there is outdoor activities for the kids to do and enjoy and learn this is more than just a business to Roger and Penny it’s a family and that’s what Makes it so special for the kids and peace of mind for the parents as you can check up anytime to check on your child and see how they are getting on they have help my little girl grow into the bright confident child she is now she always ask to go back and stay there thank to you and Roger for everything that you do for the children and going above and beyond to listen and understanding and help parents as well.

Absolutely fantastic. My son has been going to Penny's s for the last 3 years and he loves it. Penny and Roger are a great duo. They provide a safe clean secure environment. They are very accommodating to our needs and are always willing to support us. My son has been collected from school, has been looked after and fed and as an added bonus done some of his homework. A lot of thought goes into activities for the children and there is a good rotation of toys for them to play with as well as learning activities. Special occasions are marked regardless of religion, usually followed with a keepsake which is very thoughtful. There are good practices in place which help the children to make good choices. The quality of care is above and beyond of that of a childminder hence my son feels like he is just going from home to home. I thoroughly recommend Penny's, it definitely is Top Notch!

Penny is fantastic! My children love going to her and have learnt so much! She goes the extra mile all the time including trips, keep sakes, parties and learning opportunities for the children! I visited a few choices before I chose penny and what they offered wasn't near the level of excellence that is offered here! I also previously worked in nurseries and would chose Penny over them all every day. I would 100% recommend Penny to anyone! Penny and her assistant make such a fun and nurturing environment for the children and communicate well with parents and carers for the best care. They also make the most amazing yummy food! Both my kids love their cooking!
