Outstanding childcare

Our little boy thoroughly enjoyed his time with Joy. She goes above and beyond and providing impeccable. Joy takes the kids out and about, which means they’re gaining great developmental skills. Joy is kind and welcoming and takes care of the kids as if they’re her own. We have had the best experience with Joy and would highly recommend her.

Great childminder!

Our little man was with Joy for just over 18 months! She is a brilliant childminder and our son was made to feel like one of the family. She has played a bit part in his development - he started as a shy and sensitive little baby and he left her as an independent and well socialised boy, which is down to her patience and care.

I really liked that she took him out everyday (parks, playgrounds, Virginia water, wisley, the farm - to name a few) and i think it is one of the reasons that he is now so out-doorsy and loves being in nature. We were always kept up to date with how he was doing and I so looked forward to the photos and daily note at the end of each day. No day at Joy's was the same and he was always doing different things - crafts, sensory activities or free play. Her vehicle collection was a big hit with our boy!

Any family would be lucky to have her. I hope we can stay in touch. Thank you joy xx

Simply amazing!

Reference:
Joy could not have been a more perfect fit for me and my husband's daughter.
Unfortunately, due to our circumstances, its meant that we have had to move out of the area and sadly part ways with Joy.

Joy attended our daughter's every need and looked after her like she was one of her own children, ensuring that she had fun days out which were both educational and stimulating.

Joy went above and beyond with our daughter and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect fit. She was certainly our daughter's version of Mary Poppins.

We hope to move back into the area soon to enable our son to have the same start to life as we did with our daughter and wouldn’t hesitate in going back with Joy if the opportunity arises.

Just the absolute best childminder ever

Joy has looked after my eldest since he was around 1, joined by his little brother a year and a half later. A house move has meant they've sadly had to move on from Joy's setting.

Firstly I should say I'm pretty sure Joy has super powers. Her energy, patience, and affection for the children seems to be unlimited - and my difficult younger boy has tested this thoroughly!

I've said this to Joy and to many people - it's hard to make decisions as a parent, and more so to feel like they're 100% the right ones. Sending my boys to Joy to care for is hands down the best parenting decision I ever made, and one I've never doubted.

Joy takes the children out almost every day, unless the weather is extreme. They go to parks, forests, gardens, etc - She completely promotes learning through play, lets the children explore and learn at their own pace. She takes as much delight in their discoveries as they do and it's clear to see.

Inside, Joy's space is full of all sorts of fun and educational toys, and she gets to know what they each like and makes sure there's something for them to enjoy. She does educational activities, crafts and cooking with the kids, and there's always something beautiful sent home to mark an occasion like Christmas, Mother's day, etc.

Every day we received tons of gorgeous photos of the boys so I always felt connected to them and their day to day at Joy's. As a working parent it's just invaluable to have photos of them enjoying their day, out and about and at their happiest, and we will treasure them forever.

Joy is excellent with manners, from the moment they can speak they're using please and thanks yous brilliantly, asking politely to leave the table, etc - their nusery has commented on the amazing manners of my just-turned-2-year-old - this is definitely solely down to Joy!

There are so many little things she does for the kids, I could rave about Joy all day. I cannot recommend Joy highly enough or thank her enough for the love and care she and her family have shown my little boys. We all miss her so much.

Fantastic Childminder

Joy is an amazing childminder. Our son was with her for over three years and throughout that time she looked after him with care and kindness. As a parent, I knew I was sending him somewhere that he would be kept safe and my preferences on naps, routines etc would be followed. Throughout his day, we were kept informed of how he was doing and sent lovely photos to show him engaging in his play. My son’s favourite thing about going to Joy’s was that his day was never the same. There could be a trip to the park, an outing to feed the ducks or a meet up with another childminder to see friends. There was always a range of learning opportunities through a fun activity such as developing scissor or sticking skills, counting or pencil control. Joy provides a safe and stimulating environment for all of her children and any family would be lucky to have her.

Amazing!

Joy is amazing. She has such a passion for the children, and you can see how much they love her. She is constantly doing things with them, whether that be out at the park, the garden centres or at home doing arts and crafts. Not a day goes by that my little girl doesn't do something with Joy. She is thoughtful and understanding and works with you to get the best experience for your child. My little girl was quiet and barely spoke, but in the two years she has been with joy, she has grown in confidence and skills. Joy works to make them independent and allows them to safely learn life skills such as putting on shoes and coat and writing and identifying letters and numbers. This helps to reinforce what we do at home, and Joy is like a second mum to my little girl. I trust Joy and know she always has the children's bests interests at heart. She has also helped look after my nine and 10-year-olds during holidays, and they always ask when they can go again, which shows how much fun she brings to their lives. If you are looking for a childminder who will bring the best out in your child, someone who is honest, flexible, passionate, and fair, then Joy is the lady for you.

Amazing Joy!

Before returning to work, I was in a dilemma about which childcare option to choose. After meeting Joy, I instantly knew a Childminder was the right path, and have absolutely no regrets! Joy is very professional, welcoming and friendly. She is very organised and has a passion for her job which sets her apart from other childminders and nurseries.

Charlotte started in 2016 aged 9 months and goes to school next month, so it's with great sadness that her four years with Joy are coming to an end. Joy and her family are all very kind and caring people; it's like leaving Charlotte with extended family each day.

Joy provides a very clean, safe, fun and nurturing setting, where children learn through play and other activities such as arts, craft, reading / writing and baking. Most days they visit a local park, go to the woods or to the river and feed the ducks, all of which are fun ways to learn about nature and get lots of exercise!

Joy is a great communicator and engages well with children of all ages. She had no trouble in gaining Charlotte’s trust and respect from an early age. She actively encourages good behaviour, manners, kindness and compassion to others. If Charlotte steps outside her boundaries, Joy responds firmly, then explains to her using age appropriate language.

Charlotte has always looked forward to going to Joy's, knowing she's in for an exciting day ahead! She has developed a great bond with Joy and her family, and loves JoJo's the dog! She made good friends with other children at the setting, and will miss them all too!

The daily photos and updates on their activities and adventures helped me to feel part of Charlotte’s day, and makes for good conversation on our journey home. I am thoroughly happy with every aspect of the childcare Charlotte has received. The positive, caring and happy environment has significantly helped Charlotte's development, independence and confidence, and prepared her socially for the next chapter. Joy clearly loves her job and shares the same values, so it has been easy to keep continuity in Charlotte’s home life.

I feel very fortunate to have found Joy, and will really miss seeing her each day. I absolutely recommend her, she's one in a million!

SIMPLY THE BEST

Every morning our daughter can not wait to go get to Joy's house. her warm and caring approach to educating and nurturing our daughter has been amazing. Joy manages to make learning fun and will taper her approach to include seasonal events which all the children love.
we are included every day via photos on the baby days app so that we can follow all the fun and always look forward to the stories when they get home. Joy is professional, kind, and caring and is held in the highest regard by all the children in her care as well as the parents! We are ever so sad Amelia will be leaving in a few short weeks to go to school but baby number 2 will be shortly following in a year's time and will be attending Joys sitting... I cannot express how lucky we have been in finding joy and any child that is placed in her care will be the luckiest child in the world!!
Joy you are one in a million and we all love you dearly. 5 stars all round.

Couldn't ask for anyone better!!!!!

Four years ago, my then 8 month old son and I won the childminder lottery when we strolled into Joy's life and not a day has gone by when we don't feel so appreciative to have her! A year later, my other son joined her and they've been the happiest children in the world!

Joy is warm, welcoming, caring and is a master of her trade - she's raised 3 wonderful children of her own and treats every little one the same way she did hers, with open arms and massive heart. She doesn't just take care of children, she nurtures them, teaches them and understands them and it's amazing to watch them grow to be well-rounded and confident, ready to start school and move ahead.

Joy is definitely a firm believer of the great outdoors and learning through play. Not a day has gone by where my boys and the 2 little girls Joy looks after along with them, haven't been out in our beautiful surrounding parks for walks, picnics and play at some point during the day. She also takes them to the library, to play groups to mingle with other children, local day trips on the train (like Windsor to watch the changing of the guard and feed the ducks), animal farms, arts and crafts, and cooks and bakes with them at her house - there's never a dull moment, rest assured!

I can't begin to thank her enough for helping us raise our 2 boys over the last 4 years and can't imagine the void it will leave in my family's life when the boys start school in September. They will miss running into her house and I'm going to miss the chats at her door as well as seeing photos and hearing about the adventures they went on that day.

If you're looking for a carer, teacher and mother all combined into one, Joy is it. Our little family will miss her dearly and I can only say that if you get a chance to snatch Joy and send your child/children to her, you won't regret it for a moment!

Absolutely wonderful

Joy is just amazing! Amelia absolutely loves going 3 days a week. Her hand to eye co ordination has developed so quickly and her speech is really great. Joy always makes such an effort to take the little ones out every day to parks tumble tots and she is great at sending photos of what amelia is doing during the day. So yes I vote for joy as she's the best!!!!
