Our little boy thoroughly enjoyed his time with Joy. She goes above and beyond and providing impeccable. Joy takes the kids out and about, which means they’re gaining great developmental skills. Joy is kind and welcoming and takes care of the kids as if they’re her own. We have had the best experience with Joy and would highly recommend her.

Our little man was with Joy for just over 18 months! She is a brilliant childminder and our son was made to feel like one of the family. She has played a bit part in his development - he started as a shy and sensitive little baby and he left her as an independent and well socialised boy, which is down to her patience and care.
I really liked that she took him out everyday (parks, playgrounds, Virginia water, wisley, the farm - to name a few) and i think it is one of the reasons that he is now so out-doorsy and loves being in nature. We were always kept up to date with how he was doing and I so looked forward to the photos and daily note at the end of each day. No day at Joy's was the same and he was always doing different things - crafts, sensory activities or free play. Her vehicle collection was a big hit with our boy!
Any family would be lucky to have her. I hope we can stay in touch. Thank you joy xx

Joy could not have been a more perfect fit for me and my husband's daughter.
Unfortunately, due to our circumstances, its meant that we have had to move out of the area and sadly part ways with Joy.
Joy attended our daughter's every need and looked after her like she was one of her own children, ensuring that she had fun days out which were both educational and stimulating.
Joy went above and beyond with our daughter and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect fit. She was certainly our daughter's version of Mary Poppins.
We hope to move back into the area soon to enable our son to have the same start to life as we did with our daughter and wouldn’t hesitate in going back with Joy if the opportunity arises.

Joy has looked after my eldest since he was around 1, joined by his little brother a year and a half later. A house move has meant they've sadly had to move on from Joy's setting.
Firstly I should say I'm pretty sure Joy has super powers. Her energy, patience, and affection for the children seems to be unlimited - and my difficult younger boy has tested this thoroughly!
I've said this to Joy and to many people - it's hard to make decisions as a parent, and more so to feel like they're 100% the right ones. Sending my boys to Joy to care for is hands down the best parenting decision I ever made, and one I've never doubted.
Joy takes the children out almost every day, unless the weather is extreme. They go to parks, forests, gardens, etc - She completely promotes learning through play, lets the children explore and learn at their own pace. She takes as much delight in their discoveries as they do and it's clear to see.
Inside, Joy's space is full of all sorts of fun and educational toys, and she gets to know what they each like and makes sure there's something for them to enjoy. She does educational activities, crafts and cooking with the kids, and there's always something beautiful sent home to mark an occasion like Christmas, Mother's day, etc.
Every day we received tons of gorgeous photos of the boys so I always felt connected to them and their day to day at Joy's. As a working parent it's just invaluable to have photos of them enjoying their day, out and about and at their happiest, and we will treasure them forever.
Joy is excellent with manners, from the moment they can speak they're using please and thanks yous brilliantly, asking politely to leave the table, etc - their nusery has commented on the amazing manners of my just-turned-2-year-old - this is definitely solely down to Joy!
There are so many little things she does for the kids, I could rave about Joy all day. I cannot recommend Joy highly enough or thank her enough for the love and care she and her family have shown my little boys. We all miss her so much.

Joy is an amazing childminder. Our son was with her for over three years and throughout that time she looked after him with care and kindness. As a parent, I knew I was sending him somewhere that he would be kept safe and my preferences on naps, routines etc would be followed. Throughout his day, we were kept informed of how he was doing and sent lovely photos to show him engaging in his play. My son’s favourite thing about going to Joy’s was that his day was never the same. There could be a trip to the park, an outing to feed the ducks or a meet up with another childminder to see friends. There was always a range of learning opportunities through a fun activity such as developing scissor or sticking skills, counting or pencil control. Joy provides a safe and stimulating environment for all of her children and any family would be lucky to have her.

Joy is amazing. She has such a passion for the children, and you can see how much they love her. She is constantly doing things with them, whether that be out at the park, the garden centres or at home doing arts and crafts. Not a day goes by that my little girl doesn't do something with Joy. She is thoughtful and understanding and works with you to get the best experience for your child. My little girl was quiet and barely spoke, but in the two years she has been with joy, she has grown in confidence and skills. Joy works to make them independent and allows them to safely learn life skills such as putting on shoes and coat and writing and identifying letters and numbers. This helps to reinforce what we do at home, and Joy is like a second mum to my little girl. I trust Joy and know she always has the children's bests interests at heart. She has also helped look after my nine and 10-year-olds during holidays, and they always ask when they can go again, which shows how much fun she brings to their lives. If you are looking for a childminder who will bring the best out in your child, someone who is honest, flexible, passionate, and fair, then Joy is the lady for you.

Before returning to work, I was in a dilemma about which childcare option to choose. After meeting Joy, I instantly knew a Childminder was the right path, and have absolutely no regrets! Joy is very professional, welcoming and friendly. She is very organised and has a passion for her job which sets her apart from other childminders and nurseries.
Charlotte started in 2016 aged 9 months and goes to school next month, so it's with great sadness that her four years with Joy are coming to an end. Joy and her family are all very kind and caring people; it's like leaving Charlotte with extended family each day.
Joy provides a very clean, safe, fun and nurturing setting, where children learn through play and other activities such as arts, craft, reading / writing and baking. Most days they visit a local park, go to the woods or to the river and feed the ducks, all of which are fun ways to learn about nature and get lots of exercise!
Joy is a great communicator and engages well with children of all ages. She had no trouble in gaining Charlotte’s trust and respect from an early age. She actively encourages good behaviour, manners, kindness and compassion to others. If Charlotte steps outside her boundaries, Joy responds firmly, then explains to her using age appropriate language.
Charlotte has always looked forward to going to Joy's, knowing she's in for an exciting day ahead! She has developed a great bond with Joy and her family, and loves JoJo's the dog! She made good friends with other children at the setting, and will miss them all too!
The daily photos and updates on their activities and adventures helped me to feel part of Charlotte’s day, and makes for good conversation on our journey home. I am thoroughly happy with every aspect of the childcare Charlotte has received. The positive, caring and happy environment has significantly helped Charlotte's development, independence and confidence, and prepared her socially for the next chapter. Joy clearly loves her job and shares the same values, so it has been easy to keep continuity in Charlotte’s home life.
I feel very fortunate to have found Joy, and will really miss seeing her each day. I absolutely recommend her, she's one in a million!

Every morning our daughter can not wait to go get to Joy's house. her warm and caring approach to educating and nurturing our daughter has been amazing. Joy manages to make learning fun and will taper her approach to include seasonal events which all the children love.
we are included every day via photos on the baby days app so that we can follow all the fun and always look forward to the stories when they get home. Joy is professional, kind, and caring and is held in the highest regard by all the children in her care as well as the parents! We are ever so sad Amelia will be leaving in a few short weeks to go to school but baby number 2 will be shortly following in a year's time and will be attending Joys sitting... I cannot express how lucky we have been in finding joy and any child that is placed in her care will be the luckiest child in the world!!
Joy you are one in a million and we all love you dearly. 5 stars all round.

Four years ago, my then 8 month old son and I won the childminder lottery when we strolled into Joy's life and not a day has gone by when we don't feel so appreciative to have her! A year later, my other son joined her and they've been the happiest children in the world!
Joy is warm, welcoming, caring and is a master of her trade - she's raised 3 wonderful children of her own and treats every little one the same way she did hers, with open arms and massive heart. She doesn't just take care of children, she nurtures them, teaches them and understands them and it's amazing to watch them grow to be well-rounded and confident, ready to start school and move ahead.
Joy is definitely a firm believer of the great outdoors and learning through play. Not a day has gone by where my boys and the 2 little girls Joy looks after along with them, haven't been out in our beautiful surrounding parks for walks, picnics and play at some point during the day. She also takes them to the library, to play groups to mingle with other children, local day trips on the train (like Windsor to watch the changing of the guard and feed the ducks), animal farms, arts and crafts, and cooks and bakes with them at her house - there's never a dull moment, rest assured!
I can't begin to thank her enough for helping us raise our 2 boys over the last 4 years and can't imagine the void it will leave in my family's life when the boys start school in September. They will miss running into her house and I'm going to miss the chats at her door as well as seeing photos and hearing about the adventures they went on that day.
If you're looking for a carer, teacher and mother all combined into one, Joy is it. Our little family will miss her dearly and I can only say that if you get a chance to snatch Joy and send your child/children to her, you won't regret it for a moment!

Joy is just amazing! Amelia absolutely loves going 3 days a week. Her hand to eye co ordination has developed so quickly and her speech is really great. Joy always makes such an effort to take the little ones out every day to parks tumble tots and she is great at sending photos of what amelia is doing during the day. So yes I vote for joy as she's the best!!!!

Joy has looked after my Son, for over a year and a half, until he recently starting school.
He’s absolutely loved spending time with her and being within her setting. He had previously attended a day nursery where he cried every morning for a year and when he switched, it was clear to see how happy and excited he was to go to Joy every day. Even his tantrums, which I had been experiencing at home, went away very quickly.
His days were always packed with fun- playing with the other children, taking long walks outside in the local parks and meeting with other childminders and their kids for fun group activities. He got to chill at the end of the day in Joy’s lovely home with her family around and his good friend Joey the dog, who he adores.
I felt enormous confidence leaving him with Joy, as she had an incredible manor, being kind, loving, calm, patient but also firm and orderly. He truly thrived and I saw quick development in his independence, good manners and willingness to try new foods. Knowing he was safe and happy meant the world to me.
I loved getting the photos throughout the day of him enjoying himself and I absolutely treasure all the art and crafts that he made there and brought home for us. The holidays were always marked with something fun and special for the kids to enjoy.
I would fully recommend Joy to any parent. I don’t know how she does it! We were very lucky to find her and would choose her over and over again!

I can hardly believe that over 4 years ago I was desperately searching for a child minder for my 9 month son. I had so many questions, concerns and worries….. where was I ever going to find someone who could care for my son the way that I could?...... well look no further….. I found her…. Joy Green!
From our very first meeting I knew instantly that Joy was going to be the person that I had been searching for. She was wonderfully welcoming, caring and professional. What struck me most of all was her obvious and genuine level of care for the young children that she worked with. She immediately put all my worries to rest and I knew that Jacob would be getting the best possible care that I could wish for.
Jacob and I have had the pleasure of Joys care for 4 years now and when he leaves her to begin school in September, there will be a big hole in both our lives. Joy has been everything and more than we could have wished for. From Jacobs very first day, I have never had a moments worry about how he is and this has been cemented at the end of each day when I collect a very happy and tired little man. The time he spends with Joy is clearly wonderful and I love to hear of his stories on the way home. Without a doubt his days are action packed, full of laughter and love. The wonderful photos, information and comments that are updated throughout his day are always gratefully received, so that I am constantly aware of where he is and what he is doing.
Joy has been pivotal in Jacobs early years development, both educationally and socially. Their busy days always involve lots of time with other children and an array of activities. Joys love of the outdoors has been a perfect match for Jacob and there’s never a day when they haven’t visited a park, been for a walk down by the river or played in the paddling pool in the garden. With a strong focus on learning through play, Jacob is now very well prepared for the demands of school.
Joy truly provides a home from home service. Jacob has been welcomed into Joy’s home as though he is one of the family and I know that he will miss being part of this ‘extended family’ a great deal. As for me, I will miss our daily chats and debriefs of the day.
We feel very lucky to have found Joy and to have had the privilege of getting to know her. There are a handful of ‘special people’ and Joy is certainly one of them. I know that if you and your child are lucky enough to meet her that you too will feel the same!

Joy has been the childminder for three of my children for over 14 years. I wholeheartedly recommend her. Our youngest son is starting school in September and we no longer need a child minder so it is with great sadness that we no longer need Joy’s support.
Joy is the most amazing childminder in every way. A short review cannot do justice to how we feel about the care and love she has given to our family. Going back to work after maternity leave has been difficult each time, but Joy’s support has made this an easier step and it is lovely to see how happy our children have been in her care, having fun, making friends and trying new things. Joy uses an online diary and whats app to send us pictures and details about what they have been up to, so it is lovely to see their smiley little faces while we are at work.
Some of the most important elements of our time with Joy…
SAFE:
She has kept our children safe and provides us with piece of mind. We know that our children have been well looked after and have felt secure. We completely trust Joy and know that she takes great care when the children have been involved in activities where there are risks, such as crossing roads, cooking and using playground equipment. Joy has assessed different situations and has supported our children to be independent and learn new skills, appropriate to their age, whilst maintaining a safe environment both inside and outside her home.
FUN:
Joy does fun things with the children all the time. Her house is full of a variety of toys for different ages and our children have had fun rummaging around in her toy box and discovering new toys as well as playing with old favourites. Joy creates themed activities for different events, such as St George’s Day, Easter, Christmas, Diwali, mother’s day, father’s day etc and the children make different craft things and bake food. She helps them to learn about these events and have fun making something they can bring home. Joy spends lots of time outside so they get plenty of fresh air and exercise in various different parks and playgrounds. She also takes them to local soft play, song times and other events so they can meet the other children and enjoy a different environment.
LOVE:
Joy and her family are just lovely. They are the kindest and sweetest family who are very caring and loving. My children have all felt loved by Joy and think of her like they do about their aunts and uncles. Joy cares for them beautifully when they are sad or get hurt and they feel comforted by her until they can see us. The children also love Joy’s husband, children and pets and feel at ease and safe in their company. They feel part of the family and are valued members of the household for their time there.
EDUCATION:
As the children have approached school age, Joy has helped them learn and develop following the early years foundation stages, helping them with numbers, shapes, colours and letters. She reads to all the children whatever age they are and helps them learn at the pace they are able using their skills to help make learning fun – for example weighing ingredients for cooking, counting the days in advent etc.
SUMMARY:
Our children have always been happy and comfortable going to Joy’s. They have seen her house as a place of happiness, love, safety and security. Most mornings they have waved goodbye to me and gone into Joy’s house smiling – straight away going to play with toys and their friends. If, for any reason they have been unhappy when we arrive, they have soon settled and forgotten their tears, comforted by Joy. As parents we have felt so happy and reassured that Joy is looking after them. It is so sad for us that we will no longer be able to have her as our childminder. Our older children always give Joy and hug and tell her all about what they have been up to whenever they see her, either picking up their younger brother or at another setting. They remember their time with her fondly and our whole family considers Joy an important person who has helped shape our lives and will always be in our hearts. I hope that if you are reading this review and want a childminder you chose Joy because you will not regret it – it will be the perfect place for your little one.

I would just like to say i am very please i found Joy to care for my son. I only had a limited time to find a childminder and joy was there to help at very short notice. As soon as i met her i felt a sence of warth strait away. My son has A.S.D and strait away felt at home with Joy . I would highly reccomend her Shes, Verry easy to get along with, Shes kind, Friendly and very active with the children always taken them out and making sure they have a good time!!!. I am verry happy i found her. :) :) :)

I have known Joy Green as my childminder since December 2009 when she first started to look after my son from the age of 6 months old until he went to school in September 2013. At that point, Joy then started to look after my daughter from aged 15 months until she was three and a half and left to start pre - school.
I have found on both occasions that Joy was very understanding of how hard it is to return to work and leave your child, she gradually built up settling in sessions until everyone felt comfortable. Joy has a natural way with children who seem to be at ease with her immediately.
I have always liked the way that Joy values fresh air and taking the children out and promotes healthy eating. On rainy days, Joy has age appropriate toys and a safe environment for children of all ages at her home. They certainly enjoy a day with Joy.
I have always found that Joy has been flexible with times and days and is always happy to help out at short notice. More recently as Joy has started to additionally work some sessions over the school holidays too, the children have gone back to her this summer together which has been lovely.
Joy gives you lots of information at the end of the day concerning what your child has done, whether they have slept and how they have eaten and the children love looking back at the photos she takes.
My son looks back fondly at the time he spent with Joy and her family and I know that my daughter will too. We will miss Joy and I have no hesitation in recommending her.

This letter is supposed to be about Bea finishing her time with you, but really it will end up being about so much more – things that are much more important. We wanted to thank you for all the wonderful time, love and dedication that you have given Bea over the last year and a half. We know that we wouldn’t have been able to get through it without you. It is with a great deal of sadness that we have to end our time with you due to our change in work location.
Ever since we read a review of you online, we already knew that you would be the best person to love and take care of Beatrice whilst we were at work. Meeting you for the first time was an absolute pleasure and we knew from the moment we stepped into your home, that you were the one for us (not needing to look at anyone else).
Thank you for taking away all the stress and worry of a new mother -especially one whose own mother worked away from home, leaving me with a whole host of questions and doubts about going back to work- , offering help in finding another carer if you weren’t the right one. We were delighted that you had a space for us. While we had a few difficult and slightly tearful (on Bea’s part) mornings at first, she quickly settled in and became a part of your little family! We knew that she settled when she would chatter away about ‘Joyyy’ and ‘Ru-Ru’ when she was getting dressed in the morning – and even more so whenever she picks up a phone to the excited declaration of ‘Harry!’. You have taught her so much, given her so much time and dedicated yourself to the upbringing and enjoyment of her little life. We couldn’t ever thank you enough for all that you have given – because it is invaluable.
It is going to be heart-breaking to take her away. It makes us sad that she won’t know it’s her last day with you and that she won’t really understand goodbye. We are cherishing a photo of you with her so that we can tell her about you when she is old enough to understand. Due to travel and work arrangements we are moving her to a child-minder closer to Woking, who we hope will be able to give just a fraction of the love and dedication that you have given!
We will never forget the first review we read of you because it’s the line that we began to repeat to ourselves when looking for another child-minder (and the reason why it was so difficult): There’s no-one like Joy!

I have been extremely happy with the care Rayyane has received, and the great progress she has made whilst in Joy’s care. Joy’s home is always welcoming, clean, well-organised and Rayyane had great fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care. Beyond all this though, it is Joy’s warm, caring and friendly but no nonsense approach which sets her apart from other child-minders we have experienced.
She provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise. I know Rayyane has really enjoyed going Bushey Park, play house, activities like drawing and sticking, reading and as well as outings to the park, trips to feed the ducks and walks in the woods. I really love the fact that Joy shared these experience with me every day by sharing daily activity pictures.
Joys is a great communicator and had no trouble in gaining Rayyane’s confidence and therefore encouraging good behaviour and kindness and compassion to others, both skills which are important to us at home.
Although I provided Rayyane’s food each day she provided healthy snacks such as fruit if she is exceptionally hungry or keen to eat. I am also aware that Joy ensures good personal hygiene in encouraging all the children to wash their hands before eating and after using the toilet. I’m sure that it is this practice together with the cleanliness of Joy’s home which has ensured that Rayyane has remained healthy.
I really liked the detailed diary of what Rayyane has done each day. From this I have a complete picture of her whole day including what she has eaten, how long she slept and all her activities. This helped me to feel involved with her care and that I can talk to her about her day when we are at home.
I would absolutely recommend Joy as a great and reliable child minder I have been extremely happy with the care Rayyane has received, and the great progress she made whilst in Joy’s care. I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment has contributed to her developing into a confident and self-assured little girl. She is now enjoying nursery and all her tutors have been amazed with how brilliant she is at 3 years and am happy to say that it’s great credit to excellent care she received from Joy.
I would absolutely recommend Joy as a great and reliable child minder.

Joy looked after our son from 10 months old until he started nursery at the age of 3.
We were extremely happy with the care our son received and we were thrilled at how quickly he settled in with Joy, which made the process of returning to work far easier! He was loved, cared for & accepted as if he were a part of her own family.
Joy provides a wide range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercise, (sometimes walking miles each day!) and visiting local toddler groups. Our son had great fun playing with the toys available at her home and with the other children in her care.
It was very reassuring to see his daily diary, to receive emails, texts, photos and videos each day. From this, we had a complete picture of his whole day including what he had eaten, how long he had slept and all his activities, etc. This helped us to feel involved and enable us to talk with him about his day.
All in all, we are thoroughly happy with the level of care our son has received and we're certain that being in such a positive and happy environment has helped him to develop into a confident and self assured little boy.
I have no hesitation in highly recommending Joy to anyone who is looking for a wonderful, reliable childminder. I will certainly be enquiring about a place for our second son when I return to work later in 2014.

Joy has looked after my son for the last year and has been great. She is caring and affectionate, and has responded well to his changing needs and interests over the year. She has kept him busy with a variety of outings and activities and he is always happy (and tired! :-) when I pick him up. I cannot put a price on being able to leave my son in someone else's hands and not worry about him but know that he is in excellent hands.
I would be happy to recommend Joy to anyone and am so grateful for the care she has given my son - thank you Joy!

Joy looked after my son from 6 months old until he started school. I have always found that he enjoyed his time with Joy and the activities they did. I was particularly pleased that Joy took him out for long walks in the fresh air and was rarely indoors which was one of the reasons I was attracted to her in the first place. Joy places an importance on learning and healthy eating.
My son settled in easily in her care and the regular updates, text photos and diary entries made it easier to return to work knowing he was in safe hands.
I have always found Joy flexible and she welcomed my son to her home and treated him as part of her family.
It is sad to leave her and I hope she will be able to care for my daughter when I return to work.

Joy looked after my little boy from 8 months until he started school.
During his time with Joy he was always well looked after and entertained, Joy is very much a learn through play minder and she loved taking the children out to parks and farms, I never worried that my little one wouldnt have enough fresh air when with Joy.
Myself and my son have only fond memories of our time with Joy, he cooked, painted, planted, walked, built, scooted and climbed to name but a few activities.
Joy managed any bad behaviour in a positive, consistant and when appropriate fair manner.
I would recommend Joy to anyone who is looking for a fun, happy, caring and professional childminder.
Communication through the day was fantastic, with texts, emails and photos, these were the highlight of my working day. Joy kept a daily diary which stayed in his bag so I could see exactly what he had done for day, along with food eaten, sleeps and nappy info etc.
Joy is a very organised person and extremely flexible.
I landed on my feet when I found Joy.

Joy has looked after our children since 2003. She is absolutely amazing. She is kind and patient and loving. She has always treated our children like part of the family. She has done interesting things with them - like different craft activities, cooking, making things for birthdays, mothers day and fathers day and going on outings to interesting places.
She treats every child as an individual - taking notice of their interests and likes and helping them to do the things that they want to do. She has supported them with their learning. She makes sure they are safe and healthy and happy. She listens to our views and works with us to make sure they have the care and support they need and we are happy with.
She is so much more than a child minder she is peace of mind and security looking after the people who are most prescious to us and allowing us to feel comfortable and happy when we are working knowing that our children are with someone who puts them first and keeps them safe, happy and active.
