I have been with this childminders now for the last few months and am always surprised at how welcoming they are and how nurturing they seem to be. My son is so happy there and doesn't want to leave when I pick him up.
I couldn't imagine him being better anywhere else.

Lydia and the team looked after our 3 yo for a year, they did an amazing job. Our daughter absolutely loves Chloe and Lidya, and so do we, they are really nice people and really have never said no to a single request we've made. Really accommodating, which is great for working parents. They go out most days and do lots of activities, which is great. Our little one was quite clumsy for her age when she started (gross motor skills clumsy) and we've seen a huge improvement this year, i think this is due to lots of outdoor activities. The setting is going through an expansion, which is great and I look forward to seeing what the new areas will be like, but as our girl has now reached 3+ she will move to a big children nursery attached to the school we are hoping she'll attend next year. I wish Lydia, Chloe and the rest of the team all the very best!

The environment that the children were playing in was absolutely lovely and not to mention the staff were so warm and comforting to the children. I was delighted with the way the children were looked after and stuck to a solid routine which I think is vital. Lydia, I think, has an excellent grasp on children's needs and manages the bustling environment with ease but as a mother of three I know it really isn't that easy! I would love to send my children here.

Lydia and her team are so caring and do everything they can to make our child and us comfortable. They make the most lovely wall displays with all the children's art and we are daily given personalised books with positive comments about our child's development.
We have never been so happy with childcare before.

We have known Lydia for many years now and she often comes to babysit, as do her lovely daughters. One night Lydia had my 2 kids and my sister's baby. She had them in bed asleep for 6.59 pm. If anyone can look after 3 crazy kids, it's Lydia!

I found a home to grow after it was recommended by a friend and trying a couple of other childminders, who my partner and I weren’t too happy about them. My daughter loved the place from the first time she saw it. Lydia offers such a proffessionl service which is at the same time children friendly. She and her team always knew what we would expect and they delivered just that. I would recommend Lydia and home to grow to my family and friends!

My daughter has been attending Home to Grow for a year and a half now and she absolutely loves it there. Lydia and her team are very warm, caring and happy people.
A Home To Grow is a welcoming place with a homely feel and my daughter's sense of security and belonging is priceless to me.
I find Lydia’s place to have an inclusive ethos with a focus on individuality. All the minders seem to know each child very well and are fully aware of their likes and dislikes, aptitudes as well as areas that present challenges.

As many other parents have done, I conducted an extensive research of childminding facilities in my area before choosing A Home To Grow. A year and a half later I am extremely happy and confident in my decision. I would not hesitate to recommend Lydia’s services to family and friends. I could not think of a better person to leave my child in care of.

I’d recommend all of the workers at Home To Grow as they are warm, friendly and I trust them completely with my child. They don’t just babysit, but also interact and play with my child so I know I’m not just palming her off onto someone, she’s actually being left in brilliant and capable hands.

A Home to Grow have looked after both my children from 10 months to 3 yrs, and even then they only left as I'd signed them up for school! They both completely loved Lydia and her amazing team, and I cannot say enough good things about AHTG.... especially their babysitting which is exceptional. I would love to be a reference for them!!

A Home To Grow should definately win Babysitter of the year! They have my full trust with my own children and my child loves going there on the weekdays while I’m at work. I had spoken to other parents who had gone to A Home To Grow and it’s remarkable how much of a difference Lydia is making to our children’s lives. Once again, she deserves this award and hopefully, many more awards to come!

Lydia's house is like a second home for our daughter : it really is a home to grow!
She is welcoming and lovely with kids and is great at comunicating anytime she thinks there is a something wrong with our daugther. I trust her judgement more than the GP's! She is full of nice gestures like giving our daughter a birthday card signed by all the kids and staff and a birthday present. She is very flexible and has saved us many times with last minute childcare as we are very badly organised. I feel so lucky to have found her!!!

Lydia and her staff at A Home To Grow is an amazing team of caring, interested and creative human beings. Her regular daily diary to inform us to what our son has been up to during the day prior to when we pick our baby up is fantastic and proactive element as we then can talk about what has taken place during his day. She is amazing as well in sending little text messages to us to let us know how our baby is doing and calm a worried mother.
Their activities is really enjoyed by our son as I can already see things he has learnt and new things he is trying. I can't recommend Lydia enough and her dedication to the children, her reassurance for us parents and her creative, attentive and care are all attributes that should be awarded.

Lydia maintained a safe and stimulating environment.
We were given frequent and very detailed reports about the children activities and eating.
An incredible amount of creativity was put in the activities.
For example, she made a "movie award" video with the children being the nominees, and we still watch this video from time to time, years later.

My baby started with Lydia and her team when she was five months old. My daughter is now nearly 1 and if it wasn’t for the fact we are moving away from the area, I’d have been happy for her to stay until school age. Lydia and all of the care workers have nurtured my baby and helped develop her skills. My baby has come on leaps and bounds, and that’s all down to the time they spend with her. Although my baby was the youngest of their charges, she was no less involved with the other children. I’m very very sad to be leaving and would recommend A Home To Grow to anyone.

This was our first time looking for childcare and we wanted find a warm and caring family environment for our 7 month old son.
A Home to Grow was just that for 18 months, and our boy just flourished.
Not only did he hit all his milestones, he made friends and had fun, coming home full of songs and stories, often with a new painting or craft in hand.
Lydia and her team are fabulous.

After visiting a few well chosen childminders and nurseries I realised that many are nice but there is an instinctive reaction when you know you have find the best one. These childminders have the special extra!
As soon as I walked in it felt warm and cosy and I could here nothing but gentle giggling. The children were all seated around the kitchen table painting and they were making a lot of mess but it was so calm and the children were so visibly happy and content that I felt an inner peace. I knew I wanted my precious baby to join them.
As I was chatting with the main childminder (who was so lovely she really made me feel better about going back to work), another child was dropped off and after saying goodbye to her mum, she ran in all excitedly. She was so happy to play with her friends and went running straight up to everyone shouting good morning at them, skipping and jumping happily.
If I was a child, I would want to go here! I am hoping my baby can start as soon as I arrange my reintegration back to work.

Such a wonderful environment for my child. My daughter is always happy there.
The nursery room is fantastically creatively designed with a rainforest theme which delights my daughter daily and there are toys bulging out of every inch of the room. Lydia and Yohana are always singing and smiling, the children adore them and I do too!!

Lydia and Dale have created a very friendly environment for little ones to grow. Our son stayed with them for a little over a year from 8 months to 21months and had been very happy. He made lot of little friends and play and learn a lot always being encouraged to learn and participate in educative activity without being pressured. I really think it was a nice balance, a lot of activity were proposed everyday. So it is not your usual childminder environment, more like a mini nursery but with a more personalised and flexible approach. They do daily report with all activity and menu of the day. We were worry to move and not be able to find an as good childcare options. Feel free to get in touch if you want to know more. Wish all the best to Home to grow with a lot of growing babies to look after.

A Home To Grow is the best childminders we ever had. Lydia and Dale are both super passionate and loving, you can see how much they love to care for all children. They looked for my two little boys aged 2&3 years old at that time for 1 year, I was really sad to move because I would love to keep them!

Their nursery is in their family home and it has everything ready and set up for all the children, home cooked healthy lunch, they go to local parks, learn, read sing and play. Lydia and Dale are super innovative and creative with the kids, on Christmas they even did amazing video with the children playing various roles you can see on the TV while dressing up, the kids had so much fun and we have memories for life! I will always miss them so much and my boys too! Can't wait for the BBQ this summer so we can catch up again :)

We where only with Lydia and Dale for six months, but in that short time we couldn't of been happier with the care our son received. Despite initially struggling to settle for the first week he ended up becoming really excited to arrive each day, he would constantly talk about the other kiddies at home. We received lots of art and crafts every week which we will happily keep for many years, it's a shame our new home is too far away to continue using A Home to Grow, as both myself and my son will miss it. Thankyou for everything for the last six months and we can't wait to see you all again at your summer bbq!

We used Dale and Lydia's service for approx 4 months but much to our regret and disappointment had to leave them as we have now moved.
Our daughter was very happy whilst in their care and they truly run a lovely service, though I don't think service is quiet the right word as they where like good friends who clearly thoroughly enjoy what they do. All the other children always look so happy when we pick our daughter up and Dale and Lydia sometimes seems to get overwhelmed in the mornings with big hugs off some of the children arriving!! So yep I cant recommend these guys enough if your looking for a lovely environment for your children. Best of luck for the future, David.

I don't have a child cared for at A Home to Grow but I have a friend who has and they could not be happier. My daughter has been cared by Lydia and Dale since January 2013 and I can honestly say that there has not been one day that I haven’t arrived to find her with a big smile across her face, laughing and wanting to tell me all about the fun things she has done at their home that day.

Lydia and Dale are the most dedicated, professional child minders I have ever encountered. They are unquestionably genuine in their devotion to providing the children they care for with a nurturing, creative, educational and safe environment. Their efforts go above and beyond not only other childminders in the area but also some nurseries. If Ofsted had an ‘exceptional’ rating that trumped ‘outstanding’ then I’ve no doubt they would be awarded it.

I can only echo all the positive remarks left below. The children are constantly engaged in fun activities and always monitored. Never, ever is their safety compromised. It is also worth remarking on how lovely the children are who attend. On my first visit to A Home to Grow I was struck by how cheerful and sweet all the children were. Clearly they have good parents :) but equally Dale and Lydia ensure that the children treat each other with the same respect and care that they demonstrate in their interaction with them.

I too am surprised to read the negative feedback from Roxani. It, in no way, reflects my experience or that of the other parents. When I read the comment I could only conclude that the adage, “What Peter says about Paul says more about Peter than it does about Paul” was apt for this parent. My daughter also waded in the paddling pool that day. It was a very hot day so I was glad she had the opportunity to have some ‘cool’ fun. She was not sick afterwards but she was a very happy bunny. Lydia and Dale ensure that every day is a fun day for the children.

I cannot recommend a Home to Grow highly enough.

We hesitated between a nursery and a childminder for our 11 month old but the feel you get when entering a Home to Grow is the best of both world!
Lydia and Dale put lots and lots of energy and effort in resources, activities, singing and learning.
They now care for both our boys. We feel we can discuss everything, tell them everything and this is ever so important when leaving your little one in the care of someone!
Lydia and Dale currently have an assistant to work with them. They are very professional in the choices they make and we feel our boys are very well cared for.
They are excellent with their babysitters agency too.
On the whole, we are not going anywhere anytime soon!

My son attended A Home to Grow full time from Dec 2011 up to June 2013, and we could not have been happier with his care. I was working long hours and it was such a weight off my mind to know that he really felt he had a home from home at their house.
Lydia and Dale are incredibly gifted with children, they follow the Early Years curriculum in a really creative way. Even at less than 2 my son was desperate to tell me about all the things they'd taught him, and got so much enjoyment out of his 'learning time'. They are really imaginitive and never seem to run out of fresh ideas. Despite the very long days and hard work that they put it, they never seemed to get the slightest bit impatient. All the children adore them and behave well as a result.
Lydia's own daughters are also a great testament to how well their approach works; they are kind, impeccably mannered, helpful girls who are great role models for the younger ones.
We have sadly moved out of the area now but if I could have taken them with us I would have done! I don't think they charge enough for a service which is twice as good as I've had at the two highly rated private nurseries that I've used both before and after. I would recommend them to anybody.

My daughter has been at A Home To Grow since she was 10 months old and I could not be happier with the incredible child-minding care that Lydia & Dale at A Home To Grow provide, a sentiment that I know the other parents who send their children there for any length of time agree with.

Lydia & Dale have put everything into making their home into the most amazing place for children to be looked after, learn and play, and in over a year I don’t have a single negative thing to say about my daughter’s care with them. As well as caring, they are thoughtful, fun, diligent, they communicate everything, and their ONLY priority is the well-being of the children they are looking after (well, that and providing the best fancy-dress costumes ever!)

I have never written a review before, but I feel so strongly against the absurd claims made by “Roxani” that I have been moved to do so. My daughter will have been the same age as the child in question at the time, and from the brilliant Weekly Photos that parents receive it is possible to see that in that hot month there are only VERY happy children splashing around in a warm-looking paddling pool. I just feel lucky that the children even had the opportunity to be outside in a lovely garden enjoying the weather, especially in the company of others their age (and more importantly responsible adults) and the fact that someone has claimed otherwise, is ridiculous.

Our little girl has been attending a Home to Grow from a very young age, on a full time basis since January 2013, and was on a part time basis before that, starting September 2012.

When we first met Lydia and Dale it was obvious from the very first 10 minutes conversation that we wanted them to take care of our only child. Not only are they lovely people, but they are extremely professional and always put the children’s interest first. For a start, they give children healthy meals and everything is homemade by Dale, they never leave a child with a full nappy and have the days filled with different activities. All of these help the children develop their sense of imagination. From a very early age, our little one was painting/drawing, playing dress up and reading books. We are also glad that Lydia and Dale are taking the children to the park, to the zoo (twice in less than 8 months) and occasionally to museums, not to mention they have a lovely garden in central London where the children can play with the abundance of toys they have. At the end of the year, Lydia and Dale are organising a Christmas show, with the little ones singing and dancing, this is the best opportunity to spend time with our child and her friends at a Home to Grow.

Our daughter has always a smile on her face when we reach to the door of a Home to Grow and I find that she evolves so quickly and learns so much with them, speaking and behaving very well now.

Little details which are worth so much for parents: we receive daily diaries by email including what the little one did and ate, how long she slept, etc., also, on a weekly basis we receive pictures of the highlights of the week. This is so important to be able to see their life when we are away, and also for them to look at it later.

For all the above, we would like to thank Lydia and Dale for all they do for the children and for their devotion to their job. There is no doubt that we would recommend their services and even have our next child with them!

I am leaving this feedback to say to Lydia and Dale that we appreciate everything you did for our daughter. Unfortunately my work situation changed and we no longer needed child care but whilst my daughter was at your nursery I felt content.
I am a very good judge of whether my young daughter has had a good day or not and my little girl skipped with joy when I arrive and was so happy.
I felt that everything that could have been done was done. I am amazed that the three adults that work at A Home To Grow have such a smooth system and work so well as a team to care for these children. I find one child tough but they manage 6 effortlessly!
I have just read the negative feedback below and am shocked as I was there that day and it was during a heatwave back in July. The children were having a great day though I must be honest and say the little girl's Mother seemed rather aggressive and was not happy that her daughter didn't want to leave with her. I heard some of the requests she was demanding of Lydia and Dale and frankly they were saints to be so warm towards her.
One afternoon when I was collecting my daughter I saw Roxani outside their house spying on them to see how her daughter was and when I told Dale he seemed to not mind one bit and even took her out a cup of tea and a homemade blueberry muffin.
Such a shame that there are a minority that try to ruin a good thing for others.
I can seriously say that as soon as I secure new work I will only consider you guys and I'm so sorry that your amazing patience and dedication isn't appreciated by everyone.

Lydia and Dale took great care of my son as the were his childminders full-time. He was so happy there and talked about them all the time.I have had many different child carers but Lydia and Dale were by far the most hard working and passionate. I always felt at ease when my son was with them and Lydia and Dale always updated me what my boy was doing.
We moved away and we will miss them dearly.

Incredible service, wonderful people. These guys work tirelessly to care for little ones and also teach them education and essential life skills.
These childminders are open longer hours than any I know and are really conveniently located on the way to central London in a delightful quiet road near a fruit market.
The other children are polite and well mannered, greeting me as I entered and other parents seem warm and welcoming.
I used to work with children but never before have I seen such hard work and dedication at succeeding in satisfying above and beyond in every area of learning and development. The children that attend here seem to love it as they have so many toys to play with and a delightful well stocked garden. If I was a child I would enjoy spending my days there.
I have heard the food is delicious too, freshly home cooked meals prepared by Dale, the smells were heavenly each I collected my child.
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed knowing my child was safe and happy there.

Everything great with the service and nursery play area. Childminders go above and beyond what is expected and seek to make me happy aswell as my child. There was many opportunities for learning, play and outdoor exploration and I was given a diary of the day and photos of my child during activities.
Couldn't be happier

My child is very happy to be at A Home to Grow, they always do lots of different activities, painting, baking, crafts etc and have trips out.

She enjoys the good home made food that is provided.
My little one loves being there and I can highly recommend them. They have always been flexible if I need to change my hours.
They are very reliable and the children love it there!

We have been really happy with A Home To Grow. Our son is so very happy when we collect him and his knowledge of numbers, shapes, colours and even the alphabet is astounding which has progressed since spending time with Dale and Lydia.

I love the photos I get via email each week and each session I get an account of what he has been learning, playing and who with.

I want to leave a review for letting my family and I visit your home at such short notice last night.
We are really looking for a nursery for our child to integrate into a group situation and prepare for school skills and structure so I was surprised to see how a childminder can set up a nursery setting like you have. I love the look of your place, the toys you have and the routines in place and am now very tempted to sign with you.

I needed emergency care for my young baby and was very nervous about the process. Lydia and Dale instantly put me at ease and their professionalism assured me that they were more than capable at caring for my precious angel to the standard she deserves. The website was so informative I had few questions yet they were happy to answer anything I did ask, I received a full tour of their home which included seeing their bright, colourful, well designed nursery and many of their educational toys which suit my daughter's age group. I chose A Home to Grow for my daughter because they seemed so interested in my daughter's welfare and I got the impression they are both so dedicated to giving the best opportunities to any children in their care. My daughter was content when I collected her and I was given a page of information on the activities my daughter had been doing, nappy changes she had been given, toys she played with and bottles of milk and snack she had. I am delighted that I could rely on such great childcare at such short notice and will definitely be calling them again soon.

Although I chose not to register with A Home to Grow, it was only due to the distance. We live about 12 miles away yet were tempted enough to visit anyway incase the journey was possible on a daily basis. Unfortunately, we found the traffic would be too much for the journey required, if we lived closer into London we would definitely register with this nursery.

It was the fantastic website which first drew us in. It is wonderfully animated and incredibly informative with examples of everything from catering menus to activities.

On our visit, the two childminders were professional and organized yet warm and approachable. No question was left unanswered or was too much. My wife who speaks little English was relieved with the patience and time she was offered for me to translate.

The nursery itself is a creative, inspiring playroom with a huge selection of toys and education materials. I was pleasantly surprised.

We were taken around the rest of the home which was cosy, clean and not at all cluttered as one would expect from a family home. There was many safety adaptions and my son seemed content to play with the building bricks given to him as we discussed the services available.

Both my wife and I agreed, it would be a lovely place to send our son to each morning but that the drive there and back would be too much each day.
If our situation changes we will be sure to let you guys know!

Having only started using their services recently I am extremely happy so far! My son is really enjoying it there and the range of activities they prepare for him each time is quiet astounding. I am also given a daily diary at the end of each session to show me exactly what my son did and what areas of the EYFS he covered which is a lovely little touch and very helpful. I am more than happy and look forward to continuing to use a home to grow till my son starts nursery.

Lydia was a nanny for my 3 children for 6 years when she lived in Wales. She started when my youngest was a newborn which provided her with experience of all age groups.

Lydia was an asset to our family, she was always happy, polite, reliable and sensible. Nothing was too much for her and I couldn't have managed without her help.

My children adored her and we all missed her when she moved to London.
Lydia and Dale will make fantastic childminders and I wish them all the best.
