Sofia has been incredible at taking care of our daughter who’s now 3 years old. She is so caring, energetic and professional and my daughter always looked forward to her time at Sofia’s. If you’re looking for a homely setting with lots of educational activities, outdoor play and nutritious home-cooked food then Sofia is a great choice. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Sofia. We had an interim need for childcare on and off since last year and Sofia was able to accommodate us which we are so grateful. Our little one had a great time in her setting and made new friends, which is lovely. Sofia provides a safe and fun environment and as well as organising trips outside her setting, so little ones can explore new environments, as well as getting to exercise and play outside. She provides healthy meals and is flexible when you have a fussy eater and works with you to see what works. She also gives regular updates and pictures. Would be more than happy to place my LO in her setting again in the future. Thank you Sofia! x

I found Sofia through this website 2 years ago and am so happy I did. My son joined her when he was 8 months old and was immediately like part of the family. The warmth of Sofia, family and home made sure I was never worried about leaving him at such a young age because it was a home from home! Sofia always feeds the kids so well with a variety of flavours so he's open to lots of things, and when she sends photos each day they're always full of dancing, fun and laughter.
Sofia is incredibly easy to work with too, if I need to make a change or I need some extra support, she's always been there. She always remembers the little things and is incredibly caring. She teaches the children how to be compassionate and kind themselves and the relationships the kids build between themselves is like family.
They have lots of activities and are always learning new things, as well as being outside a lot at local parks and national trust parks in the holidays.
The most important thing I could say is that I trust Sofia to keep him safe, but also to love him and treat him as if he were her own.

Our son was with Tia fia for four years and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a nurturing, caring and friendly environment for their child!
The kids are taken out daily to parks, libraries and playgroups. Tia fia sends us parents regular photos to let us know what our child has been up to. She teaches the kids Spanish and prepares them delicious home cooked meals!
Our son developed excellent social skills during his time with Tia fia and he still cherishes and talks about his time with her till today!

Our daughter has been with Tia Fia for 18months, since she was just over a year old. We feel very lucky to have found her.
She provides such a warm, energetic and fun environment for her and it really feels like a family. They go out on trips every day to playgroups, the library and local parks.
Sofia is great at communicating and makes sure we know what has been happening and is happy to give advice on anything if we ask.
They've all just gone back after the Christmas break and my daughter was so excited to see Sofia and all the other children, which says it all.
She's a safe pair of hands!

Both my children have gone to Sofia since they were 1 (my daughter will be 3 in Jan and my son is 16 months) and absolutely love it there and love Sofia. We really feel like we've struck gold with her.
She takes them out to the park or to the library most days. She even takes them on days out with her family during school holidays!
She's really kind and loving, and has such a positive energy. You can also tell she genuinely cares for them. I feel so happy leaving my children in her care and enjoy getting the daily photos and updates about their days!
Another perk is that Sofia speaks to them in Spanish (my daughter can count to 20 now!) and they understand her/picked up a few other words which is great!
Couldn't recommend her enough!

Tia is Spanish for aunt and that definitely describes the relationship we have with Sofia and her lovely family.
Our daughter has been in Sofia’s care for over three years now (since she was 8 months old) and spends every Thursday with her (and her family). It has been clear from day one that Sofia cares deeply about the children she looks after from the photo updates throughout the day to the carefully prepared meals our daughter eats when she’s there.
Sofia has a zest for life and any chance to celebrate an event is seized complete with decorations, music and fun. Our daughter has loved being able to celebrate her friend’s birthdays (and her own) there. The invite to join even when it’s not a Thursday is such a thoughtful touch.
Her days with Sofia are enviable when we are stuck at work. We love that our daughter has been able to visit playgroups, explore local parks and visit National Trust parks, gardens and houses.
We will be sad when our daughter starts school next year but know that Sofia and her family have helped develop our confident and outgoing daughter and nurtured a love of food, dancing, music and language

We love Sofia! I give her a 10 out of 10.
Sofia has been looking after our son, now 4 year old, on a Tuesday and a Thursday for a year now.
Sofia is so caring and thoughtful, and welcomes us as a family into her home.
She takes my son to various activities, Ryhme time at the library, Dunorlan park, St James playgroup, her childrens sport days, national trust adventures and loads more. He loves the time he spends at Sofia’s and is made to feel part of her family. When he goes to school in September he will really miss the fun he has had at her home. We know we have made a friend for life.

Sofia has been looking after our son since July 2018. From the first point of contact I could tell she was the best person to look after him. She was warm and attentive. As a first time mum, I was a little anxious about the settling in period, however Sofia was very patient and gave us great advice.
She’s happy and energetic and we all love her personality!

Sofia has been looking after my son for the last two years, and we love her to bits! She has a lovely touch with the children, and they get to go to activities during the week, as well as additional local trips during school breaks. We chose Sofia immediately after first visiting her, the warm environment in the house and within her was evident, and we have had no regrets. Her happiness, Latin American music, Spanish language, and bright colours just add to the mix. We would not be changing her, but unfortunately we have to due to the move out of the area. I would choose her again without any hesitation!

Sofia has looked after our daughter for the past year. She is an incredible childminder -she takes the children to do activities 3-4 mornings per week including the ballet and library which the children love.
More and most importantly however she really cares for the children she looks after and this is hugely evident - there are lots of special little touches which we adore, for example:
- she sends us a daily email and photos of what our little girl has been up to, this is delightful and also really puts you at ease that she is in good care
- she does something festive with the children for all special occassions including dressing them up or hosting parties or providing little treats eg. halloween, birthdays, easter, christmas
- we occassionally do events with the parents of the other children Sofia looks after and her own children which are always great fun
Our little girl has thrived and Sofia has ensured she continues to be outgoing, fun and confident. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Sofia and cannot recommend her highly enough.

Sofia is an amazing childminder. Right from our first visit to her lovely home, I knew she was exactly who I wanted to care for my daughter.
My daughter has blossomed since being in her care. From being an extremely fussy eater, she now eats a variety of foods and I can only put this down to Sofia's easy-going and patient approach, as well as her focus on good, home-cooked food and wellbeing. My daughter frequently tells me what is healthy and good for her and this is thanks to Sofia.
Friends of mine who have seen my daughter out with Sofia remark on what a great childminder she is and they and my family say I'm very lucky to have found her.
From strawberry picking to visiting a castle at Halloween and weekly visits to the museum and library (plus all the playgroups in between), the variety of activities Sofia does with the children is extensive and the diary and photos are perfect for keeping us up to date.
Sofia is very reliable, very friendly, very kind and very welcoming. I cannot sing her praises enough.

Sofia is looking after my 9 month old son for 4 days a week and he absolutely adores her and so do I!! She is a wonderful childminder and I couldn't ask for better. She takes my son to lots of different playgroups during the week so he interacts with many children. This has given him great confidence and as a result he is turning into a very social little boy, all thanks to Sofia.
He had only just begun on solid food when he started with Sofia and once again, thanks to her, he now has a very healthy and hearty appetite!
It's very clear that Sofia adores looking after children and I honestly can't recommend her highly enough. I thank my lucky stars that I found her!!

I was in a desperate need of a childcare, however I'm one of those paranoid mothers who are scared of leaving their children with strangers. In addition, my daughter doesn't tolerate people she doesn't know so it was a very difficult task to find a person we both would like and trust. And then after months of rejecting potential childminders I found Sofia (well, she found me :). Letting her take care of my baby girl was one of the best decisions in my life. My daughter truly adores her, loves spending time with her and I can see she's really happy when with Sofia. Not only Sofia cooks home made meals for her and provides snacks but she also sends me pictures of my little girl throughout the day. Also at the end of each day, I get a diary where I can read what my little one has been up to.
I know I can trust Sofia, and what's also very important - I can see she loves my girl as she does the rest of the children she looks after.
The reason for this review is that I know how hard it is to find that special person with whom you're going to leave your precious child. There's so many names on this website, but how do we know who's the one for us. Well, Sofia is THE ONE for me and my little girl and I can highly recommend her to anyone looking for a childcare.
