About Me
Hi! My name is Sophie.
I am from Cardiff and I live in Penylan. I am a newly qualified Primary school teacher and an experienced Performing Arts teacher to children aged 3-17 (dance, drama and singing).
In addition to nannying/babysitting services, I can also offer 121 dance lessons and help with homework and music practise (at an additional fee). I am a second language Welsh speaker and hold a full UK driver's license (no convictions) and have access to my own car.
I will be offering my services as a babysitter and tutor (English and second language Welsh) via childcare.co.uk, cost dependant on service/number of children.
Babysitting/Nannying: £15 p/h
Tutoring: Dependant on required service
I am not in a position to care for children in my own home, however I would be more than happy to come to your home/do outings with your children if this works for you.

My Experience
I am a qualified Primary school teacher and am currently in the process of registering with a teaching agency for September 2024. I am looking to arrange nannying/babysitting jobs alongside working as a supply teacher.
I am an experienced performing arts teacher and have taught ages 3-18 through Stagecoach Performing Arts, and through my own online teaching business Gemini Dance Company. I have also worked with children in a range of additional contexts, including nurseries, arts and craft clubs and more. I was the Pastoral Care Lead on “The Challenge”, a residential job with the National Citizen Service, where I worked with children aged 15-17 with additional support needs, including Autism.

My Availability
I am relatively flexible with my availability and will often be in a position to accept last minute work.
I will consider overnight/evening work dependant on my existing schedule.

Sophie is a reliable and responsible nanny. She has taken care of my little ones on a number of occasions so far and they have really enjoyed that time. She helped us at short notice providing valuable childcare and fun for our little ones. I highly recommend her!

Amazing babysitter / nanny. My daughter actually looks forward to being looked after by Sophie which speaks volumes really! Highly recommend.

My Son always had a great time and came back really happy after his time spent with Sophie
Whenever we told him he was going to stay with Sophie he always looked forward to it.
We always received photo updates of their adventures , which really brightened up my day knowing he was having a lovely time .

Sophie has looked after my three kids and a dog lots of times and I trust her absolutely to do her best for them. They all love her and are delighted when they know she is coming over. She is sensible, trustworthy and fun. She’s got loads of energy and loves thinking of fun things for the kids to do. She is flexible and will always help out at the last minute if she can. I thoroughly recommend her.
