Experience Exceptional Childminding Services with Lillies of the Valley!

We are a married couple, deeply committed to providing exceptional care for children in the Hertfordshire area.

Before becoming registered childminders, Annette volunteered in nursery schools, schools, and playgroups for several years. This experience allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the needs of children and the importance of setting good standards. As parents ourselves, we believe it is our duty to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for all children.

About us our family
We take great pride in the success of our own family daughter 1/ 28 years old works in a law firm part time and a university qualified 1.1 in Law and forensic in university she serves as a role model for her siblings and demonstrates the values of hard work and determination. She also loves music writes her own songs and she audition for the voice and Britain Got talent, plays several musical instruments, graphic designer.

In addition child 2 , our daughter we have an 18 year old in six form doing Extremely well passing all GCSE exams at a high level (A’s) loves dancing a song writer. Loves sports and plays in a football team she is studying to become a physiotherapist.

Lastly not the lest 3/our son we have a 11 year-old boy who loves outdoor sings, loves music, currently training to become a professional footballer he enjoys school also doing exceptionally well.

We hear time and time again from parents that we are Very Caring to their children, who may not be biologically ours, that means so much to us because that is so true, it is both our duty as childminders and our passion. OPENING HOURS MONDAY - FRIDAY 7.45- 6pm

if you need earlier start times or later finishing times that will need to be discussed and you will be charged for this extra service.

Emergency child care available eg childminder on holiday/ is your carer unwell... it is always good to have a back up plan in place you would need to register your details and meet child before hand in case you need us for the future.

Booking face to face meetings for potential child care.

At Lillies of the Valley, we understand the significance of face-to-face meetings for potential clients. We recognize the effort and preparation required to make these meetings successful. In order to ensure fairness and optimize our appointment availability, we have implemented a new policy.


If a potential client expresses interest in a meeting, we kindly request that they notify us at least 24 hours in advance if they are unable to attend. This allows us to accommodate other potential clients who may be interested in the same time slot.

**TO ENCOURAGE TIMELY CANCELLATIONS, WE HAVE INTRODUCED A CHARGE FOR MEETINGS THAT ARE NOT CANCELLED WITHIN THE SPECIFIED TIME FRAME. THIS CHARGE HELPS OFFSET THE RESOURCES AND EFFORTS INVESTED IN PREPARING FOR THE MEETING, AS WELL AS ENSURES THAT OUR TEAM'S TIME IS UTILIZED EFFECTIVELY.**

Face to Face meetings

When scheduling our initial face-to-face meetings, we kindly request that only the parents and child attend the session in the setting. Thank you for your understanding.

During a face-to-face meeting with a childminder, the following aspects may be covered:

Child Development Focus: Discussion on how I will supports the child's development, including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth through play-based learning.

Safety and Well-being Information about safety measures, policies, and procedures in place to ensure a safe environment for all children.

Communication Practices I will outline how I communicate with parents, including updates on the child's progress, daily reports, and any concerns that may arise.

Policies and Procedures An overview of important policies, such as behaviour management, health and safety, emergency procedures, and payment structures.

Feedback and Involvement I will discuss how parents can get involved and provide feedback regarding their child's care.

Child Development How do you track my child’s development, and how do you support their learning?

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
