We visited Annette today. She was so warm and friendly. It is glowing apparent that she cares about the holistic development of the children in her charge. She was thorough in her explanations, personable, reassuring and practical.
The most impressive thing was how well our little one settled. Our child is quite shy but by the end of the visit, spoke yo Annette, accepted help from her and was even content to take toys from her and play. She has a wonderful manner with children.
I can't wait for out little one to be under Annette's care.

We visited Annette over the weekend to discuss emergency childcare.
Annette was lovely and wonderful, so welcoming and instantly put us at ease. We had a little tour of the setting, which was lovely, my son couldn’t get enough and wanted to explore all of it. We talked about all the activities they do, which made me want to join in. We saw all the wonderful food cooked for the children and the baking they do. My son took to Annette instantly and when we had to leave I couldn’t get my son to go. Such a lovely and welcoming setting.

It was a pleasure meeting you and your son! In our setting, we have a playroom, a sleep room, a rest room, and a kitchen where all food is made also the children bake. We also have a craft area and a library, along with a 50-foot garden for the kids to enjoy. It was wonderful to see your son engage and have fun during our face-to-face meeting. He seemed very happy when it was time to leave and didn’t want to go!
It was such a joy to have him over and to get to know him better. Having emergency care cover is always a great advantage.

we went to visit Annette about our little girl starting in Feb. She is my first baby and I've been so nervous about her going to someone else especially with her only being 8 months old when she goes. Annette manged to put my mind at ease straight away. she has a very lovely set up with a wealth of toys and books for the little ones. we are looking forward to isabella starting her adventure with her in Feb

My son has been going to Lillies of the Valley for a few weeks now and we couldn’t have asked for a better childminder. We visited many and Annette stood out by far- I was instantly relaxed about leaving my son. We get constant updates/images about his day and he tells us about the fun things he has been doing. Both Annette and Eddie keep us updated on how he is settling and are supporting us with our potty training.
The setting is outstanding- they have a wealth of books and toys and a lovely outdoor space. They do a lot of outdoor activities with the children and I can already see a big difference in my son’s vocabulary. The pick up/ drop off service also makes mornings much easier.

I went to view the setting and met Annette for my 9 month old daughter. The home is lovely and clean and so welcoming. Annette is really warm and my child just warmed to her really quickly (which she doesn't usually do). I'm excited for my daughter to come here!

Annette and Eddie have been fantastic childminders for our son. They've provided a nurturing and stimulating environment that helped him blossom into a confident and happy little 3 year-old boy. They go above and beyond to ensure the children's safety, health, and well-being, and offer a wealth of fun and educational experiences (including trips to the zoo, soft play areas, museums, playgroups, and playgrounds) that fuel their learning and development.
They were also a great source of support for us, offering guidance and reassurance around aspects such as potty training and speech development.
Their evening drop-off service was invaluable in ensuring we could meet our work commitments without compromising childcare.

I went to visit Annette for the first time yesterday with my daughter and it was great!
First we took a little tour of the place and needless to say it was a child's dream! Big outdoor space with lots of activities, costumes, little library a kitchen where they join in preparing the meals all together!
Annette talked about her family and children's achievements and that sometime they take part in activities with the others, the children she took care of and still keep in touch all things that made me want to stay really!
Also as we needed to go at the end my daughter just didn't want to leave so if that doesn't make you want to call her and see I don't know what else!
Great place, great Annette!

My wife visited for a meeting with Annette today and she was so impressed with the setting. There is a very large outdoor space full of enriching toys and areas. Inside is carefully thought out and well structured for the children.
Annette spoke with warmth about the children she has cared for and was very passionate about what she does. She communicated clearly about all the activities and many trips she does with the children. My wife was impressed with all the different things Annette spoke of doing with the children for one fixed price.
My wife described her as such a lovely and caring woman!

Meeting your wife today was truly refreshing. From the moment she arrived, we connected effortlessly, and I felt at ease expressing my passions. We spent a considerable amount of time discussing various topics, and we both enjoyed the conversation and I did my best to communicate clearly in response to her questions. We share a common goal: wanting the best for your child and your family . You have entrusted us with the care of your child and this is a commitment I hold dear. Our recent Ofsted review highlighted this dedication, and the positive feedback from our face-to-face meeting means so much to me as I continue to grow on this journey. The commitment of Annette and Eddie to what they do is simply amazing. We wanted a home away from home for our twin boys and Lilies of the Valley simply provided that. As a mother I feel relieved when the boys are with them. They do pick up the boys in the morning and return them when they close for the day. They provided the needed care and environment for the boys to learn and grow. Our boys are now confident and interact well every where they go.

Thank you for your kind words! It's amazing to see how much your boys have grown and developed. They are now interacting with others, they love small groups and their surroundings more than ever. They have also developed a healthy appetite and are eating a lot. It's wonderful to see that they enjoy dressing up and engaging in creative activities. they have a wide range of interests, from outings to the zoo, parks, lakes, play groups, farms, and gardens. I think there are not that many people in the business who are so flexible and accommodating!!!! Angels!!!!
It is almost a year since our journey began and we feel like we wouldn't find a better match and better place for Oliwia. It is not just babysitting. They have a development plan in place and they will work hard towards helping your child to grow. They are both very passionate and professional, always going an extra mile to accommodate the needs of each child. It is mesmerizing to watch how our daughter learns to communicate with us. She definitely speaks more English than Polish:) The most caring and kind people. Oliwia just loves coming to the setting. Everyday is a new adventure for Oliwia - from daily playgroup to trips to zoo or even Windsor.
We feel like a part of a family. I love seeing Aneettes and Eddie’s kids being involved in entertaining thr kids. I think her first word after mama and dada was Elijah:)

Our little boy has been with Annette and Eddie for around 6 months now. I’m so happy with the service and the level of care and attention. Our son always has a wonderful time. Lots of fun day trips and activities all of the time which we get pictures and updates sent and is very reassuring and a lovely added touch. Annette and Eddie are amazing, always happy to answer any questions, really take pride in what they do and are really great caring people. I couldn’t ask for more, thank you both so much xx

Our first meeting with Annette was face-to-face, and we could see immediately her passion for caring for children. She put us at ease and addressed our questions, and importantly, our little boy really took to her. She then met with us at our home to get to know our son in his own environment. The settling-in process went very smoothly: our baby very quickly became comfortable with Annette and Edward, and they kept us updated of his progress via WhatsApp – this was particularly reassuring, as this was the first time that he had been away from us for a prolonged period of time. We have been with Annette and Edward for almost 2 months, and our son seems to have settled in really well. He is eating well, experiencing a variety of fun activities, and is in great spirits when we collect him every day. Thank you for taking such great care of our precious boy! x

Me and my son met Annette today for our first face to face meeting. What a wonderful experience right from the beginning. It was a lovely warm welcome and felt at ease straight away, the love she has for what she and her husband do shone brightly, she was very informative of the services offered and had such a lovely approach it really was a pleasure. We have been with annette and Eddie since April 2021 and have found them to be a caring, flexible and experienced childcare service.
Our son teddie has thoroughly enjoyed his time there and visibly is happy and always smiling to see them. Annette and Eddie are responsive and engaging and provide a stimulating and varied setting and activities for children there. Teddie has a dairy allergy and annette has always provided information on any developments and ensured he is given meals that are tailored to his needs.
They are good communicators and always advise of any issues and help provide solutions and are flexible when parents have the occasional issue at home. They provided regular updates via the app and photos on a daily basis so you can really see what the children are up to. They treat them to many trips out and give each child equal and important care and time.
If anyone is needing childcare we cannot recommend annette and Eddie highly enough. They treat the the children as their own and really do support and look after them and help them develop. We are moving away from the area which is the only reason why we are changing providers otherwise we would be staying with them for a long time. Tracy and james

We have been trying to find childcare for our 10 month old for around 6 months, and we had honestly been struggling day to day to keep a work/life balance. We luckily came across Annette and Eddie’s profile and since then it’s like a weight has been lifted. From our first interaction to our little ones first day, everything has been perfect and so reassuring. We cannot thank Annette enough for really taking the time to explain who she is, the ethos of her childcare and really listening to us and our needs. We found that the lead up to our little ones first day was so informative, with detailed information provided, and Annette ensured that all necessary paperwork was completed. When his first day came around of course there was slight apprehension, he is a lockdown baby so has only ever been looked after by us. However, the minute we arrived and he saw Annette, he had the biggest smile on his face….not even a single tear or glance back! We received regular updates throughout the day, keeping us at ease. Once home, we then received a detailed diary of his food, activities and sleep whilst he was in Annette and Eddie’s care. We can’t thank you enough and look forward to developing a relationship with you as our little one grows.

I could not have asked for a better person to take care of my children, with being a single parent of four , Annette has brought structure into our home, everything you look for in a child minder she has , she's patient , caring and has the best interest of each child at heart. She has helped us more then you could imagine , if you need that help or guidance with your child she is the best person to have, I promise you, you will not regret it and you will see your child blossom in all areas, meet her and see for yourself , I have not met someone with a bigger heart then hers. ❤️

Annette and Eddie have been looking after our little girl for 18 months now and I cannot express how happy we are that we found them. We appreciate the time and effort lillies has put into her individual growth. All through the onboarding process, to understanding family needs and amazing communication, I cannot say enough about how warm and professional they are! They have created such a fun and warm environment for our little one to flourish and have really put our minds at ease. She had gone through potty training, learning her letters and numbers here and also working on all social aspects of interacting with her peers. We are so pleased with her progress. I would recommend Lillies 10 times over.
We are sad to say that our little girl will be leaving this setting due to a house move but I know the next little one to take this spot with be happy and well nurtured in this setting.

Annette and Eddie are brilliant childminders, they cater to our son's needs and for every individual child. He is well looked after by them. It is comforting to know when we commute to London that they communicate well with us, if there are any problems we have a WhatsApp chat which they send regular pictures and updates on. the food and activity charts online are updated daily so we are aware what our child has been doing and they are always doing different things and helping children develop through inquisitive play or trips out. Punctual, clean and tidy our son is learning good habits from them like brushing his hair! Would highly recommend as a setting. from Tracy and James

Our little one is with Annette for more than a month now. She has been really great in settling, especially in our case where the my 2 yr old was at home most of the times due to locked down. Now she is eager to see Annette always. She was really great in initial rapport creation with the child via zoom, walk-in and more support. Nice to see little one picking up more words and new good habits. Annette has always been informative especially on Childs needs. Annette and Eddie are very flexible especially for parents like us who are both into full time work. We have a great list of activities planned in days to come and i am sure Annette would nurture my daughter beyond our expectations. Happy Parents :) :)

A quick update on my previous review. It’s been almost 4 months (plus the lockdown break) since my son started his adventure at Lillies of the Valley. He started with crying and clinging to mummy and now he is literally waiting by the door to be picked up, no more tears, no more clinging, and even no good bye to mummy. Each time he comes back home he is happy and relaxed. There is no doubt he is well looked after and clearly enjoys himself. Variety of activities Annette comes up with keep my son not only busy but most importantly allow him to experience and learn new skills, he is becoming more and more independent. Thank you Annette & Eddie, you are highly recommended!

Annette and Eddie have been looking after our 2 year old girl for 3 months now and I cannot express how happy we are that we found them. All through the onboarding process to now they have been warm and professional. They really understand a family's needs and have thought of everything from pick ups, food and communication on the little's progress. The have a created such a fun and warm environment for our little one to flourish and have really put our minds at ease. A big thank you to Annette for arranging the initial meetings and start date so quickly. I was sold immediately to Annette's warm and open personality combined with professionalism and clear passion for her work. It was a huge relief to see my little one being so calm and relaxed in a new place within minutes. The next meeting at our place went even better, my son didn’t even notice I was gone while playing with Annette.
Yesterday my son completed his first day with Annette and Eddie. His "leaving" tears were soon gone and the photos Annette sent clearly indicated he was having the time of his life. It’s still early days, but it looks like he is settling in well and enjoys himself. Regular updates and photos are very reassuring (especially on the first day), and give me confidence he is well looked after. And of top on all this there is the pick up/ drop off service, one couldn’t have asked for more!

This is such a beautiful review we really enjoy having your son he a bright Gorgeous little boy that has really got involved in play very sociable. Meeting the family was really nice in our face to face meeting and visting them in their home allows me to see them in their setting to familiarise myself with your son and family. I am so proud of him well done to a great start.
Our little one has been with Annette for 6 weeks and we really have seen some great changes! She started very shy and unsettled and had not much exposed to English; but Annette has been encouraging her a lot and very caring, lots of cuddle, lots of love. We really see DD learning new things every time she comes back home and she's very well with the family there.

We wrote a review in September, and have now had our son in Annette and Eddie's care for 3 months. We handed him over at a time of intense separation anxiety and through the absolute dedication of Annette and Eddie he has come to consider the place a true home from home. They worked so hard to make sure that he settled in, providing the love and emotional care that we believe is so important in these early years. He gets to go out to many different places, learns new things all the time (for example, they recently taught him to say 'please') and most importantly has settled wonderfully. Communication with Annette and Eddie is exemplary, they are incredibly sensitive and kind to our son, and the drop off service has been so valuable.
If you are looking for personal, loving childcare and a brilliantly enriching environment then we can highly recommend Annette and Eddie.

We found Annette and Eddie last minute as we decided a few days before we were due to go back to work that our son needed a more family like environment than nursery can provide. Annette and Eddie agreed to meet the next day; they clearly understood our concerns and reassured us that they would provide the loving and caring place environment that we want for him. Each day they send us regular updates and photos, which was particularly reassuring on the first day. He has been there for 3 days now so its still early days, but he seems to be settling in well with the whole family and enjoying his time there!

I recently required a new childminder as ours had reduced her hours making her now unsuitable for our needs.
We found Lillies of the valley on care.co.uk and I am so happy. Not only have we found a replacement but we are comforted in knowing our daughter is going to a safe, friendly and happy environment. Annette was very informative during our visit and answered any and all questions we had.

I sent my 13 month old son to nursery when I returned to work following my maternity leave and he attended three days a week. Despite him being miserable every time I collected him, I persevered for over four weeks, thinking that it was just a case of him struggling to adjust to having not been apart from me for a year and friends assured me that things would get easier for us both. The final straw came last week when the nursery called me to say that he just would not settle and I walked out of my job thinking I might have to give up work because I could not bear the guilt of leaving him there every morning. The numerous positive reviews on this site led me to contact Annette and straight away, I felt that she understood my struggle and we arranged to meet her, Eddie and their lovely children at their home on Sunday. We were sold immediately and my little boy had his first day with Annette and Eddie today. I cannot believe the change in him! He was so happy and content and was actually upset to be leaving! I had lots of updates and photos of him having an absolute whale of a time as well as a lovely picture with his little handprints and I can finally sleep tonight knowing that I will not have to dread the drop-off anymore. I cannot thank them enough for giving us hope!

Our regular childminder let us down again but this time we could not take time off work. I contacted Annette on the off chance that they could take our two year old for the day (less than 24h notice) and up she stepped and boy did she step up.
Phenomenal service, sent us loads and loads of photos, our boy looked to be literally having the time of his life, returned to us in a fantastic mood, well fed, well changed, full confidence in Annette.

Having written two reviews here, I thought I might write a final one before my little girl leaves Annette for her first school by the end of this week. My daughter has been with Annette for nearly two years. She has been enjoying every hour with Annette and her lovely family! Annette and Eddie are constantly looking to improve their house to make it a fun place for children to learn, play and grow. they always thinking about new or thematic activities for kids to get involved. They have done a fantastic job to train my little girl up to be an independent but caring little lady. Annette and Eddie are always very calm yet passionate, which has set a great role model for both the kids and us! We will miss you so much and you’ve already become our family here! Our baby girl has been staying with Annette and Eddie for 16 months now. She has been developing very well and has just finished her potty training. Annette and Eddie have been very caring for my daughter and always let me know how she does every day. When her speech was lagged behind a bit, Annette was even more concerned than me and has actively but gently encouraged her to repeat words that she likes. Now my baby girl is like a recorder and seems to never stop to express herself, and loves to repeat whatever her older brother is talking! Two months ago Annette told me she should be ready for potty training even before we thought about it. With Annette's very helpful advice, my daughter finished potty training within one week, which is a really big relief for us! Thank you very much Annette and Eddie for the wonderful cares. My daughter loves your whole family and always mentions everyone of you like a truly family member! I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a caring place for their little ones.

Annette and Eddie have been like a family to us and our daughter. I was very concerned when I went back to work after my maternity leave because my daughter was very attached to me, but Annette and Eddie immediately made her feel like home and the transition was super smooth. They have a very warm and welcoming home, full of new toys every day! I was very happy to know that my daughter was in a homey environment but at the same time have a week full of activities like playgoups, parks and farms to keep them entertained. Our daughter was super excited to see them every morning and she missed them terribly during holidays.
They were very accommodating with our circumstances as well, picking up and dropping off our daughter from our house every morning and afternoon. They also helped us with babysitting on emergency situations which was great help for us!
We have no doubt recommending Annette and Eddie for your childcare and we wish we could take them with us now we are moving! please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

Annette and Eddie have just started looking after my 12 month old and my 5 yo (fetching from school etc) since I returned to work following mat leave.
We were worried as my 12 mo is clingy and not a fan of other people but he has taken to Annette and Eddie fantastically from day 1! He comes home in such a good mood - amazing!
My 5 yo also tells me off for picking him up too early!
Annette and Eddie seem to have a knack for getting fussy eaters to eat, which is a bonus! Must be Annette's fantastic home cooked food!
The setting is just perfect, no chance for any child to get bored. They really have created a haven for kids!
From the initial visit to signing contracts, the process has been smooth and professional.
I am so relieved we found Annette and Eddie and am so thankful that my boys are so well cared for.

Annette is looking after my baby even since I have returned back to work and I couldn't have done it without her! I was very nervous returning back to work after my maternity but with Annette and Eddie (her husband) i feel that I am leaving my baby back to family. They are absolutely amazing. They work very hard to provide a home from home environment for the babies, their days are full of activities and the house is full of stimulating toys for the babies to play with whilst they still keep their routine. They also offer pick up and drop off from your house which is invaluable for me working long hours.
At the end of the day they provide a diary of the day electronically and lots of pictures so you know how was your baby's day.
I highly recommend them if you are thinking about childminders for your babies!

This week is my baby girl's first week in Annette's place. We were so nervous because my baby got really bad separation anxiety, and also we didn't have any experience of childminder before and didn't know what to expect. But since our first chat through the phone, I have known that Annette and Eddie are really caring not only for the babies but also for the parents. They seem to be happy to do anything that could help the parents and the baby. Now after these three days, I have to say both my husband and I are really relieved and impressed with Annette and Eddie's service. My baby seemed to be settled surprisingly well, and is really happy (she even hugged Annette and probably didn't want to leave when my husband picked her up at the end of the third day)! Annette obviously has given her a lot of stimulations during the day with all kinds of activities (stories, painting, singing, going to the farm etc...). On the first day, I was really worried and couldn't really focus on my work, but Annette has been so kind and considerate that she sent me a lot of updates and photos just to reassure me. I really appreciate it so much! Plus, her kids are just as helpful and friendly as their parents. My baby really loves them. Even more helpful, Annette has so many little tips about parenting and childcare, and is love to share. It's like a bonus to me! I am sure I will have much more to say and to thank afterwards, but for now, thank you so much Annette and Eddie!

Words do not begin to explain what my husband and I think of the marvellous service that both Annette and her husband Eddie have provided to us for over 4 years now.
I decided to go back to work, however it became very stressful because all the nurseries that I saw were more like orphanages. If I was going back to work I wanted to leave my precious child in the most capable hands possible whilst combining this with a loving homely environment. He was only 1 years old! I almost gave up but by chance came across Lillies of the Valley through Childcare. I initially discounted them as the guys are the opposite end to where I live, but low and behold Annette informed me that they have a collection service (so to speak). Whereby one of them will come and collect your child from your home and return them safely each night! Not only this but their home is clean and tidy, they have lots of things for the children to do...not that they stay home often as they are out and about at the park, playgroups, museums, the farm etc etc. Food is all home cooked and freshly prepared every day. Again another plus for me as a working mum!
Over the years we have gotten to know Annette, Eddie and the rest of their wonderful family, particularly the new little addition in their family who our little boy looks upon as a little brother, and the elder two girls as big sisters. Writing this brings a tear to my eye in a very fond way, because if these guys didn't do what they did and give me the comfort in knowing my little boy was safe, cared for, having fun and getting educated...I would not have been able to go out to work! They will be sorely missed, but we have new friends through this.
There is so very much more I can talk about, but I simply wouldn't stop. They are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone.
They are worth their waiting gold!

My 2 children were looked after by Annette and Edward, they had a very happy time together with the family. My daughter started school but my youngest son is still with Lillies of the valley and he is thriving! its been nearly a year since the children started with the family and I have not looked back, it means so much to have my little one being looked after so well :)
The standards of care are extremely high, such a dedicated team that have been a real blessing to us. Warm, loving, homely enviroment with a wonderful garden! not to mention pick up and drop off service which is such a bonus.
I would highly recommend and would like to say well done and thank you to Lillies for doing such a fantastic job!

Annette and eddie looked after my son for two years until i had another round of maternity leave.

Today was my little boys first day with Annette and Eddie, it was a nerve wracking and tearful experience. This said when we first met with the guys at their home, I knew it was the perfect surrounds for my little boy, but also to know that he will be taken out and kept challenged and amused! Annette and Eddie were lush...I warmed to them straight. There is so much I could say about these guys, but I could go on and on...the net of it is that I am set for work tomorrow without the added stress and guilt about what I may be doing to my child....its not a worry or concern because he loved it!!!

Today we've been to meet Anette and her husband Edward at their house. you would never think it is only a childminding place. it is a little nursery!!!
every corner is child friendly, the garden is fabolous. the kids will never get bored in there! they also do a lots of trips outside the house.
Anette and Edward are real professionals and I have a feeling I could trust them from the moment i saw them. we've also met their beautiful daughters:)
really great experience, i would recommend Lillies of the valley to ecerybody!

I visited Annette, her husband and her 2 lovely girls this weekend and I have to say it was the most amazing place. Any child going into Annette and Edward's care would be in seventh heaven. It has everything a child could want. Annette is extremely passionate about what she does and takes obvious pride in her well run childminding business.

My wife and I visited Annette last weekend and instantly placed our son in her care starting in September 2010. Annette's home is dedicated to children - from the liviing areas, the kitchen/dining, the amazing theme park style garden to the large garden play house. That coupled with the absolute passion that Annette has in her work convinced us that she would be the best person look after and develop our child ready for school.
