Hi Everyone!
My name is Charlotte. I am 35 years old and I have been a Ofsted registered childminder since 2012, I am monitored and regulated by Ofsted and follow the guidance and practice of the EYFS.
I have been awarded ‘OUTSTANDING’ in March 2019 and 'GOOD' by Ofsted on my previous two inspections in 2012 & 2016.
I’ve had a baby! My daughter was born in December 2022 and I’m now back after spending the best 15months with her! She’s looking forward to some friends joining her to play & learn!
I am providing childminding services from my home in Tufnell Park around 3 minutes walk from the station.
A heads up - I do have three cats, Kingston, Duke and Captain, and a tortoise named Regina! So, please bear this in mind if you wishing to contact/meet me for an interview if either you/your partner or child may have allergies or if you wish for your child to attend a pet free setting.
I live in a Victorian town house with a garden that the children will have free flowing access to all year round.
I like to socialise and I think it's vital children socialise. I provide strong home based age appropriate educational care but also take children out on a daily basis to broaden their experiences and take advantage of community support & networking.
My mum, Rosemary is my registered assistant, she is retired after working as nursery teacher and early years coordinator in a school in Barnet. She has recently become a grandmother for the second time,… So she really has no escape from it! We both will be here to care, nurture and provide a stimulating setting for your child that we hope will thrive throughout our time with us.hehe

As above, i have been working in childcare for the past 10 years. I have also worked independently as a nanny for many families over the years to care for their little ones.

Char Char looked after my daughter from 11months to 2 years and I could not recommend her more highly. As a FTM it was really daunting leaving my baby but Char Char was so wonderful with her and i felt instantly at ease. Her setting is spotless, she puts so much thought into each weeks activities, making them creative, fun and stimulating for all ages.
We absolutely love char char and will always be grateful to her and her amazing childcare.

We could not have asked for a better childminder than Charlotte to look after our daughter. As first time parents we were naturally apprehensive about leaving her but from day one it was clear that CharChar was going to treat her as one of her own. I have no doubt that the amazing person our daughter is becoming is a large part thanks to the environment that CharChar created for her - warm, friendly, nurturing and with real thought behind her development. I could not recommend CharChar more highly.

Charlotte looked after our daughter from 7.5 months until 17 months when we moved overseas. We couldn't speak more highly of Charlotte and we were all so sad to say goodbye. Our daughter loved going to Charlotte's and we felt relaxed and happy that she was spending time with someone so bubbly, caring and kind. We saw a huge difference in her development and so much of this was down to Charlotte's carefully planned itineraries and activities coupled with a warm, bright and relaxing home setting with such personalised care. Charlotte organised so much that we never do in our own home (arts and crafts, spending time with animals, messy play, planning age appropriate activities and games to support her development etc) and our daughter loved it. At the beginning Charlotte organised settling-in really thoughtfully. She always kept in touch with us - sending us pictures and videos throughout the day and updating us on our daughter's progress or if there were any issues.
Our daughter really loved it there and I don't think could have been any happier! We really couldn't recommend Charlotte enough. I think we'll struggle to find future childcare that meets the standards that Charlotte set!

"Char Char" has helped looked after our 26 month old since she was 9 months old, and our daughter adores her. Charlotte always organises fun and educational activities, and we love how much the children are taken out to enjoy the local parks or zoo. Each night my daughter comes home and talks about all the fun she had with Char Char that day, and often spends breakfast talking about what they will do during the day ahead.
We were incredibly sad that Charlotte is leaving her current childminding setting, but very excited for her that she is setting up on her own. We don't hesitate to to recommend her. Your children will love her.

Charlotte has been looking after my daughter for the last year and a half, since she was about 15 months old. She's super reliable, fun and level headed, and always is full of energy and enthusiasm. She's super patient and great at communicating with both parents and children alike. She has a wealth of experience with looking after children I'd have no hesitation at all recommending her to parents looking for childcare.

Charlotte has been the most wonderful childminder for our son, who adores her. He found the transition into childcare from home difficult at first, but Charlotte and her colleagues provided such a warm, loving, and fun environment for him, that he settled much more quickly than we could ever have hoped! Charlotte has treated him with such love, compassion and understanding - we can't thank her enough. She has played an important role helping him to become the confident little boy that he now is and he has built up a really strong bond with her and talks about her all the time. We 100% recommend her! We wish her every success.

My son has been going to Charlottes current childminder since he was 6 months old - (he's now 2 1/2). She's always warm, kind, friendly and welcoming and I know Peter loves spending time with her. He always talks about Char Char!
They do a wide range of interesting activities from painting, treasure hunts, gym classes, singing classes etc.
She will be missed but I wish her lots of luck on her new venture which I'm sure will be very successful.

Charlotte is a wonderfully caring childminder who has provided outstanding care for my 2 year old son. She has created a warm and loving environment akin to a second home. I have continually been impressed by the inventive, creative and exciting activities that my son does on a daily basis. Charlotte is always looking at new experiences for the children and everyday they go on some sort of interesting and fun trip out.
She was fantastic at settling my son when he first started. I completely trust Charlotte with him and feel lucky for have found her. Thanks Char Char!

Charlotte has looked after our two girls for 6 years, mainly for pre and post school childcare but she also looked after our youngest daughter full time in the year before she started reception. My daughters have loved being cared for by Charlotte. My youngest daughter says that she loves Charlotte because she is always kind and helps with arts and crafts. The oldest one says that she cooks lovely food and is great fun. As parents we have always felt 100% confident in Charlotte's care.

My son (2 years old) has spent 2 days every week for over a year at the setting where Charlotte has been working prior to running her new business at her own premises. We will be sorry to see her go and have always had a great deal of confidence in the care which she and her colleagues provided to our son. She and her colleagues always taken great care of the kids, given thorough hand overs and communicated well and ensured they had fun activities to do from attending parks and play groups to going to soft play, doing art and craft and attending theatre and zoo / farm visits. We wish her lots of luck with her new venture and am sure it will be a great success.
